hello po mga masters,

Nihao (example) has been going up for the past few days, actually, sudden surge siya then became constant uphill so far.

A few weeks ago, the same thing happened to PLDT, a few months back, to Meralco.

I have tried observing the market almost everyday and from that I understood, a common pattern is 2-3 days red, then 2 days green, give and take a day.

But, how do you know that I will be a constant uphill? How do you know when its best to sell or hold?

I took the advice from some of the post I read here to read newspapers, most of the time, I would read that a company will be buying this big company or profits for this company surge up, pero little or minimal stock price movements.. I know po that I'm missing out on something..

Newbie lang po sa online trading :) I would appreciate any inputs po :) TIA :D :thankyou:

you don't. you use TA to improve your probabilities, but you can never be absolute po.

In my opinion, regardless of how much you put in the market, you'll still going to end of losing it the same way you lose your money in casinos if you do not know what you're doing. If you don't know what you are doing in the first place, investing in "relative safety" is not going to happen.

I believe what ilovegreen is doing is to try and learn how the market works first before investing real money. As long as the Stock Market is open for trading, you will never run out of opportunities.

Just want to ask how can you purchase Preffered shares? can you buy it using online stock brockers like buying common public traded stocks?
Because I don't know what's going to happen in the future... we have no choice but to do what we feel is right at the moment......

You can buy preferred shares by any of the following method

1. a person holding a preferred shares will sell it to you
2. the company issuing the preferred shares is offering it to the public (usually on a limited period only)
3. the issuing fund manager (usually a bank hired by the company) will offer it to you

Right now, preferred shares are not traded every day in the open market.

good luck!

sige na nga, basta before making online stock trades using play money, study the fundamentals of stock trades by reading books and other references.  This way, you are careful, as you said, even using play money for the meantime.

Where do you guys get all the information for fundamental analysis? Where do you find info about a local company's EPS? Free cash flow? ROIC? Can't find it on PSE's website. I tried using Yahoo! Finance but the data for our local companies leave much to be desired. Does Citiseconline or other stockbrokers offer tools which provide more data?

If you think you're an investor, you are looking for long term investment, no matter what the value is, you
re gonna put money in it.

If you think you're a day trader, you are into short term investment. Buy low, sell high if the price goes up the next day! or Next month.

The forum is actually a big help!

Kung gusto mo ng Long term investment, you're called an INVESTOR. It means, no matter what the price or NAV of the stocks you are into, patuloy ka parin naglagay nagpera.

Kung gusto mo lang magshortterm to midterm investment, you're commonly called a Day Trader or Trader. If you bought the stocks say at P1 and the next minute it goes to P2 and you sold it, then you get a 100% return of your money at an instant.

Sorry, I can't better explain it but you get to understand a bit of it. LOL!
