Maybe BPI investment advisors can help you with that. I could have given you their contact but their number isn't showing on my expressonline anymore after I've updated my risk profile. Sorry :(

I want to open a bpiassetmanagement account and start investing in their ALFM Growth Fund. The problem is, I haven't got the P50,000 minimum required investment yet. Can I still open an account and put money in it little by little like BDO's EIP program?...
how does BDO's EIP work?
i believe u have to give the P50k up front.

You can choose to invest as little as 1k a month and they issue you a certificate once the market value reaches 10,000.

Tinanong ko yung RSP on AFLM funds and mukhang ang RSP
ay parang automatic investing lang. =(
Sabi nung ka email ko, 50k upfront pa rin and then 10k subsequent daw.
I'm hoping they fast track the approval of lowering their
initial and subsequent to 10k and 5k respectively.
Since last year pa nila sinasabi na pending approval pa rin yun

You mean, the lowering of the investment minimums of
the Growth Fund?

As of May 17 sir, no word from the SEC pa raw eh =(

Sir, I just asked again for you and they said they have no word from SEC still... =(
Last year they said that it should be approved by this year, 1st quarter. Now, they can't say when.

Buti ka pa sir.. I'm also eyeing RCBC's equity fund but won't take
the plunge because I think 25k is too big to invest. Buti sana kung 2009 pa tayo hehehe

supposedly that's for my other MFs,,,, sunlife, Philam and ATR,,, but when I saw your post na walang sales load ang ALFM, naglakas loob na lang ako,,, so far so good, almost 2mos ago ako nag placed ng initiall investment and it already gained (paper gain) 3.++%,,, not bad eh for that period of time,,, looking forward for making subsequent investments,,, mukhang promising ang ALFM eh, so with BPI Equity fund,,, other UITFs are good too but dont have the capability to apply for them kasi nasa labas ako ng bansa,,, no probs with BPI kasi may existing account ako sa kanila,,, after ko mareach yung 120 contri sa SSS, I will shift my monthly premium to MFs and UITFs instead,,,

I went to a nearby BPI branch and asked about the ALFM Growth Fund. A Bancassurance rep told me that they're not "selling" it anymore? Is this true? I think she was pulling my leg and wanted to sell me the other BPI Philam product (Max Yield) instead.

^Thanks. That's what I thought. I felt like I knew more about her product than her. LOL.

I did ask the BPI personnel themselves but they referred me back to the Bancassurance woman. Even they said that they're not that well-versed in their own investment products. They told me that someone from a different branch would be able to explain it better and that branch is a whole 3-hour drive away. Hay.

I think I'll stick with doing everything online.

haha. How I wish na 2009 pa. Anyway, mukhang ok ang performance ng UITF ng RCBC.

Guys, I don't know if I need to create a new topic or just append my query here. I now have a BPI Phil Stock Index Fund and just recently, a ALFM Peso Bond Fund.

Now, I want to know if it would be a good idea to open a new ALFM Growth Fund aside from the two funds I have, or should I just use the 50K initial amount in order to feed my existing funds?

What would be a better strategy? Thanks!

depende sa risk apetite mo nyan sir,,, but for me, i will go with alfm growth fund for a medium to long term investment,,, right now almost 2 mos pa lang ako nag placed ng initial investment and its performing beyond my expectations,, hopefully it can sustain it that way,,,

Pareho lang halos movement ng Phil Stock Index Fund  at ALFM Growth Fund . So better to choose one. I have ALFM Growth Fund and ALFM Peso Bond. If I have some extra cash, nilalagay ko sa Peso Bond. When market crashes like these past few days, I transfer some Peso Bond to Growth Fund. You can pull out naman sa Peso Bond anytime since almost positive gain naman palagi. Unlike Growth Fund, you can't pull it out if market is in bad shape.
