Mga sir, ask ko lang po kung tama po ba itong sample computation ko..

Let say naglagay po ako ng 20k as initial investment in year 2012 na may NAVPS na P1. Then naglagay uli ako ng another 20k nung 2013 at 2014. So bali eto po yung illustration (invested amount including different NAVPS)...

2012 - P20,000 / 1 NAVPS = 20,000 shares
2013 - P20,000 / 1.50 NAVPS = 13,333 shares
2014 - P20,000 / .50 NAVPS = 40,000 shares

Total of 73,333 shares

Then pagdating po ng 2015 bumalik sa P1.00 yung NAVPS at gusto ko ng i-redeem yung ininvest ko, ang magiging computation is..

73,333 shares x P1 = P73,333

So lumalabas kahit na P1 yung NAVPS nung una akong nag-invest at P1 pa rin nung nag-redeem ako, based sa computation above kumita pa rin ako ng P13,333 or more than 22% (disregard na po muna sa computation yung mga sales load, etc..). Tama po ba yan mga sir? TIA po..

imonidz: safer than stocks because somebody will be managing your funds..pero meron at meron pring risks like all investments

if the mutual fund is invested in equity or balance (not bonds), will it mean the same thing?

Hi Sirs, actually newbie ako at gusto ko matuto dito, hindi kasi na-explain ng agent ko (limited sa time nun) at ngayon eh hindi na sya agent.
Yung Plan ko is SUN FLEXILINK 85 - BASIC\
Dun sa lower part ng page na: Lookup for Historical VUL Values ...
..pano ko malalaman yung Fund Type nung account ko? Meron dun (peso balanced fund, bond, equity, etc). Ano yung relationship ng mga fund type na yun?
Let's say nasa "balanced fund" yung type nung sakin, dun lang ba ako lagi mag-rerely? (Sorry newbie talaga)

Hello medyo naligay ang tanong mo sa mutual fund section.

Hindi po mutual fund ang VUL.. Its an insurance product na me "rider" na investment. The investment is owned by the insurance company and you are merely "participating" on their investment.

Yung talagang mutual fund ng sunlife, you can view sa pifa.com.ph.

Sir Allanmm13 is right, sa ibang thread dapat yung question mo. This thread kase is about Mutual Funds and not about VUL. But then sige I'll try to answer your question.

Regarding sa fund type, sa VUL kase ng Sunlife pwede mong ipag-mix yun. Like 70% sa Equity, at 30% sa Bond. Depende yun sa risk appetite ng investor. Yung risk appetite malalaman yun dun sa questionaires nila na ang sagot eh mga numbers, tapos ito-total nila yun. Kung mataas, pwede ka sa Equity kase aggressive type ka. Kung gitna, Balanced Fund ka. Kung sobrang baba naman, sa Bonds nila yun ilalagay. Naalala mo pa ba kung ilang percent yung nakuha mo? Yung agent mo ang makakasagot nyan, not unless you still have the copy of that questionaire. Or better yet, call the Sunlife office. Baka sakaling ma-trace nila..
