dun sa first table, walang monthly additional investment.
dun sa 2nd may additional P1000 per month
sa last naman additional P1000 every other month lang.

Ganito.

MFCP Kabuhayan Fund
Date| NAVPS |YOY Performance
7/5/1999| 0.9075 |38.69%
7/5/2000| 0.6157 |-32.15%
7/5/2001| 0.6401 |3.96%
7/5/2002| 0.5403 |-15.59%
7/4/2003| 0.6053 |12.03%
7/5/2004| 0.7027 |16.09%
7/5/2005| 0.7723 |9.90%
7/5/2006| 0.9588 |24.14%
7/5/2007| 1.4158 |47.66%

Source: www.icap.com.ph

Sa table sa taas nakalagay yung NAVPS ng Kabuhayan Fund for the given dates. Ibig sabihin niyan:

Noong 7/5/2000, ang halaga ng shares mo:

53,994 * 0.6157 = P33,244.10

Bumaba ang presyo ng NAV from 0.9075 to 0.6157 so negative ang performance mula 7/5/1999 hanggang 7/5/2000.

7/5/199953,994 * 0.9075= P49,000.00
7/5/200053,994 * 0.6157= P33,244.10
7/5/200153,994 * 0.6401= P34,561.55
7/5/200253,994 * 0.5403= P29,172.95
7/4/200353,994 * 0.6053= P32,682.53
7/5/200453,994 * 0.7027= P37,941.58
7/5/200553,994 * 0.7723= P41,699.56
7/5/200653,994 * 0.9588= P51,769.44
7/5/200753,994 * 1.4158= P76,444.70

first... thanks sa thread na to. after reading the thread medyo naiintindihan ko na how MF works... parang Stocks din pala ung pagcompute ng kita mo sa MF so hindi sya actually compounding like TD (na ito ung gumugulo sakin dati...)  dahil tulad sa stocks e shares din ung pinaguusapan sa MF...  newbie lang ako... no investment experience aside sa savings and TD lang...

kumbaga... base sa sample sa taas kung bumili ka nung 1999 ng MFCP Kabuhayan Fund e 0.9075 ang value ng nung NAVPs at pagdating ng 2007 e u decided to sell it for 1.4158.... ayos kasi mas mataas ung value ng Navps compare dun sa time na binili mo... you will get roughly P76,444.70. Kimita ung 50 k mo ng around 26 k (idededuct pa ung mga fees and taxes)

Pero kung nagdecide ka na ibenta to nung 2002 with Navps of 0.5403.... lugi ka syempre....

Tama po ba pagkaintindi ko???

So like what FutureGizmo posted before eto ung kailangan malaman mo para sa pag-compute ng MF earnings or loss mo.

1. Determine how many shares you own.
2. Determine the price in which you bought the shares (NAVPS).
3. Determine the current NAVPS.
4. Determine the change in NAVPS.
5. Multiply the change in NAVPS with the total shares you own.
6. The resulting amount is the total income (or loss) that you will have.

3. with that amount... san pinaka maganda na MF pwede invest un?

1. Kahit kailan, ikaw ang bahala. Pero ayun na nga, within a given period, may exit fee kang babayaran. (For most funds, sa Sun Life, depende.

^Mahirap gawin yan, fxwarlock. There are different types of funds, each with its own risk-reward ratio. You have to determine first whether you're interested in a bond, balanced or equity fund so you can get a close enough approximate for your projection. But first, take note that returns with mutual funds are not guaranteed.

Here is a projection for your investment under normal circumstances:

a.)If you Invest 100k today let it compound monthly at 20% for 5 years it is 269,000 and you Invest additional 10k/month for 3 years in 5 years that's 724,000 for a total of 993,000.

*ROI is 115% in 5 years or 23%/annum

b.)If you Invest 100k today let it compound monthly at 15% for 5 years it is 210,000 and you Invest additional 10k/month for 3 years in 5 years that's 607,000 for a total of 817,000.

*ROI is 78% in 5 years or 16%/annum

c.)If you Invest 100k today let it compound monthly at 10% for 5 years it is 164,000 and you Invest additional 10k/month for 3 years in 5 years that's 508,000 for a total of 672,000.

*ROI is 46% in 5 years or 9%/annum

Total Investment in 3 years is 460,000. (100k + 10K^36)

*Note ginawa ko ng whole no yung amount instead my mga butal para madaling mag compute.

please give me a projection income if i have invest 100k and 10k increment per month for 3 years how much ang profit ko after five years?

foolcha, 3 years daw siyang maghuhulog ng P10K monthly pero ang investment horizon niya, 5 years.

Sir,

This is not the right calculator for his question kasi compounding lang ito.

No, you don't get 5035 shares on 1/3. 5035 is only the value of your shares on 1/3, kaya 4124  x 1.2336 pa rin sa 1/4. You only have 4124 shares.

What I meant in my post was in the given example, originally P5,000 was placed in the fund. After the fund earned gains on 1/3, those shares were then valued at P5,035. With the gains added to the principal, this has then been compounded to qsick's initial principal of P5,000. On 1/3, qsick had P5,035 worth of shares invested in the fund, which again earned gains on 1/4, said gains were again compounded to the total funds invested on 1/3, so on 1/4 qsick would have P5,087 worth of shares.

But when computing the value of your shares, you only go by the number of shares and the current NAVPS. You do not consider the previous fund value.

I mean kasi daily nagchachange ang navs di ba? so i'm just wondering if hindi ako umabot sa 1 year at winidraw ko (regardless of the exit fees and others) or let's say 25 days lang ang tinagal ng investments ko...

Ano yung question dito, sanctuary? What are you wondering about? Daily nagbabago ang NAVPS, oo. Every day, you can determine the current value of your shares based on the published NAVPS. Is that your question?
