better if you write down your plans and try to find ways to achieve it. Mas mabuti yan and clearer yong path na gusto mo tahakin kesa nasa isip mo lang. Madaling mawala :)

If you are looking for money saving tips or frugal living, you should consider reducing your budget first for food and grocery items.  Make it a habit to save money every time you go for grocery shopping or to anything you are spending.
To achieve your desired level of Financial Success, have a focus on the invisible processes.

"short term" time deposit? IMO, all banks are offering TD at 1 month period, automatic renewable...the interest is small though compared to longer period. I remember my TD 1-month holding period at 1.75% per annum or 0.15% per month.

:hihi: this 1.75% in TD deposit will not defeat the inflation rate..di ba sir rds. if the inflation rate run at 5-7% p.a.

^True

TDs generally don't defeat the inflation rate of the country they're in (Wintan found a loophole by loanign in a low-interest country and stashing the money in a high-inflation, high-interest rate country).

So back in the day, even the TDs that gave nice sounding interest rates of 10% didn't beat inflation as our inflation rate was really going through the roof at the time (reached something crazy like 20+% during the 80's).

We're reportedly at 3.x% inflation, but no big bank is offering a TD with 3% interest. The closes I found last march was 2.5%.

"Live BENEATH your means." <----THIS!

What's your take on this? I'm leaning towards RDPD's view, and my own experience---that is---you will die. Sooner than you'd like, sometimes. And the cliched' YOLO. And "this is not a dress rehearsal".

I come from a place where people with money( hard earned dito sa Pinas, not OFW money brought in by family members) live like really poor people, and they pay in cash. They are the stories that people in the city sometimes call funny, because they really do carry loads of cash in bayong( plastic/paper bags na siguro ngayon  :hihi: ).

I'd rather find ways to earn more, than to deprive myself. I admit it's easy for me to say that, dahil mababaw lang kaligayahan ko. I hate shopping for myself and my life is not regimented<---hindi yung, tuwing Holy Week, dapat nasa ibang bansa ako---ganyan. A lot of things are flexible and adaptable.

The first line is more of a rule siguro, when you are just starting. But when do you know you are in that place  where you think you should be having a good life, while you are working for a much better one? #ff just attended the 50th bday of her sister with leukemia, who has a daughter na Magna, woohooo cjoy! <---icing on the cake  :D

Pay your bills and your debts on Time.. sayang ang interest at penalties. Magbabayad ka na rin lang,  make it on time na.

Its not how much money you earn its important,  its how much you save!
Save first before you spend.
Save, save,  save before you invest. :)
Dapat may savings ka muna for immediate expenses and for emergencies.

GOD LOVES YOU
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

this is what i do for a living

I have a house and i'm living alone  for a few years then i realized i can get the vacant rooms rented, so now i have 3 boarders marami na kacing call centers d2

so i co owned a small sari2x store and yung income namin pinapautang din yung iba 8%

during week days, i wake up around 4-5am. I exercise as much as i can for about 15-30 mins

before i go out working for my buy and sell-i review my goals & plans i made the night before so that ill keep myself on track on things that needs to be done.

8-11pm-I trade in the forex market, an investment, i've been studying for 6 mos and just recently went on live. then i reapeat the process the next day

My saving strategy is simple too

I just dont spend on unnecessary things, i tried to be frugal but not to be cheap

so yung nangyari is i have 3 bank accounts

1-BPI-for my business
2-UnionBank-for my forex business
3-RCBC-for my savings

then im a member of 2 cooperatives

1-mainly for retirement 5 years TD compounded
2-for loan purposes

d naman ako ganun ka  cosistent as of now-but i tried to be very deciplined-its a way of life for me.
THE HUNGRY NEVER GETS FED
