Stock Trading Tips and Recommendations

  • From the "State of stocks every June" thread:

    Just be careful of over hype stocks, for safety choose yung hindi pa masyado nag surge na mga good stocks kasi pag bumaba man yan very minimal lang.

    Pano malalaman kung over hype o good ang stocks? Mas safe ba pag sa mga blue chip stocks nag-invest? Sa mga traders, what can you say about SMPH, MERB, MEG, SMCB, ABS? Any other tips and recommendations for a newbie trader like me?

    May makukuha naman akong info sa ibang sites pero mas masarap makipagkwentuhan dito eh. :hihi: Saka mas tiwala ako pag PMTer ang nag-a-advise sa akin. ;)

  • I'm not familiar with stocks, but I'm a proud PMT member. Here's my recommendation for the week.

    SMC "A" = Down to 64-67
    APM = Up to .019- .020
    APC = Up to 1.24
    BHI = If it hold above .28, next target .31 - .35
    SINO = IF hold above .56, possible .67 or even .80
    BRN = Up to 2.00
    CEI = Up to 60
    UPM = Up to 1.50
    CMP = If price hold on 3.50, will go up 3.7 to 5.00
    VUL = trend slowly up, 1.55 to 1.60
    EEI = As long as its above 5.3, possible 5.9 to 6
    BPC = Up to 5.00
    MAC = Up to 5.2 trending up very strong
    OPM = Up to.... maybe .023
    PX = Up to 6.50
    OV = positive up, to .024 - .030
    SMPH = Looking good, wait for a dip before buy
    MEG = Wait for a little lower, pick a best price around 3.20 - 3.30
    ABS = hmmm... too high, not a best time to buy
    MERB = hmmm... don't know, down to 80 before entering I guess
    ALI = Not good
    GEO = trending up, 2.50

  • Oops! forgot to post this morning. Eto na recommendation ko this week. Trade at your own risk.

    SINO = If price hold above .68 level, we'll see a new high of .77
    WIN = Strong up trend, to .35 or higher
    GEO = If break 2.60, 3.00 if possible
    EVER = Consolidating at this moment, might break the up side and reach .33 or .35
    ISM = Going down
    CYBR = Slowly trending up. Might reach .65
    BHI = Ranging between .28 and .31
    CMP = Might retest its previous high of 4.50
    EEI = Up, to 6.40
    LND = About to break its previous high of .98. 1.12 is possible
    UW = Might see a higher high this week at .37
    MEG = Nice call last week, might still go up to 4.35

  • Trading tips na nabasa ko sa www.tsupitero.com. Di ko mai-post yung exact links kasi madami.
    =========================================

    "I think you have to learn when to sell. Never mind the buying, it's the selling that you have to learn." - Joey Roxas

    From Maurice Cruz:
    "You're either a technician or you're fundamentalist, you cannot do both. That really thought me that no matter how good the fundamentals are, when the tide is against you, no one is spared."

    "One of the most difficult lessons that I have learned is when you trade or invest, one has to have a clear and explicit set of criteria of why you are buying and selling. There must always be consistency. If you're buying it based on a technical criteria, sell it based on a technical criteria. Don't start shifting it around and looking for other criteria to justify it."

    "People basically get into this whole trading game because they think it's easy to make money. When they find out how hard it is, they usually switch to something else. For the average trader, the average learning curve - the minimum - is five years. I think if you make it past that point, and you realize that this is just like any other endeavor that requires effort and committment, that's the beginning of separating the men from the boys."

    "If you get wacked by the market and you learn something, then it's not a losing proposition". - Danny Go

    "Stay on the sidelines. Preserve your capital and keep yourself liquid so that when the real opportunity comes, blow it all". - Danny Go

    From Ron "Mr. BearBull" Nathan:
    "...if you want to be a successful Technical Analyst, you have to look at the big picture. This means you have to take a big interest in what's happening in America because it's the leader. Where America goes, everybody else eventually follows."

    "I will allow my intuition to rule the day because it is right 90% of the time. Intuition is simply the experience which you've ever had fed into your subconscious mind which is able to reach a conscious decision."

    "If you buy a stock and it doesn't move for 3 days, you should sell it."

    P - Prolong
    O - Our
    P - Profits

    C - Cut
    O - Our
    L - Losses
    A - Aggressively

Malaking tulong yon. :cool2:

    Isa sa mga tips ng mga veteran stock traders, use fundamental analysis in choosing stocks, tapos technical analysis naman para malaman kung when to buy and when to sell. Yan ang sinusunod ko. Sana lang maging maganda ang resulta. :hihi:

    • chinethan8: hi, ask ko lang sana kung how to manage and how much a capital needed to a company canteen? actually, nirefer lang ako ng friend ko sa company nila kasi gusto ng tanggalin ung existing na nag canteen doon kasi hindi na daw maganda ang services (specially yong mga food served everyday)  at konti lang ang niluluto kaya madali lang maubos. Around 150 ang employees nila. kaya sa canteen talaga sila kumakain. may policy kasi sila na bawal bumili ng food sa labas. can you help me?

    • FutureGizmo: Just to explain, our main consideration for doing the revamp is to make the forum more mobile-friendly. We had to ditch the right-hand side column because it doesn't look good on mobile. All other widgets or sections will have to be either on top or below the actual forum. Keep posting! We'd love to hear more comments and suggestions. :)
