Keep up tops5450 for your Real Estate Investing Plans. There's really a proper time for every deals.

Pinagbabasa ko na si Mrs mo ng mga books about Real Estate para sa mga projects mo pag-uwi mo.  For now, try to save for your future here.  At least, you have better chance than employees whose earning only P10k to P30k here.

Oh...forgive me for overstepping and misconcluding. We are in the same boat, meaning, I am looking for investments that can practically run on auto-pilot. Which is difficult for me, cuz i'm a control freak. Also, this nature of mine has prevented me from joining partnerships or coops. In my mind, too many cooks spoil the broth.

I hope you don't mind my asking, but what is a 'logistics firm?'

@richpulubi

My business helps set-up export and import businesses, from their inland transport requirements to documentation, banking, and final delivery.

I understand what you're saying. My temperament naman is I set-up a business, set-up a good reliable system for it especially auditing and accounting, hire good, home-grown people and pay them well, run the business for a couple of years to check how reliable the system is, then monitor operations remotely. Medyo tutok ka ng ilang taon pero after that medyo maluwag na. This gives me the freedom to spend time with my family, do what I really want to do, and look for other business options. I have met a lot of retirees who do not enjoy their retirement so well because they're running along in years and they can't enjoy the benefits that much from a lifetime of working, medyo matanda na kasi masyado nung nag start sila mag enjoy ng retirement.

I have a friend who's just like you. I understand naman kasi retail yung business nya so kelangan talaga bantay sa tingi tingi. He has many branches spread around Luzon so being the control freak that he is, he has to go around to check on the different branches. Business is doing good but he's always tired, always stressed, not much free time on his hands. I told him nga na kung ngayon na yung branches mo Luzon pa lang natuturete ka na sa kakabantay, what more if you expand to the Visayas or Mindanao? Baka mahimatay na kaibigan ko. There must be a better way of running his business otherwise hanggang dun na lang sya hindi na sya lalaki.

About partnerships, I believe there's a place for partnering with other people pero siguro maganda if your exposure is small only. kung majority owner ka din lang e di mag solo ka na lang diskarte mo pa lahat. It's hard also when there are 5 people thinking and deciding, bumabagal ang action. But there is also wisdom in getting advise from many. Case to case basis na lang siguro.

As an aside, I read this morning in the papers na the IMF is expecting a long financial crisis worldwide, "that the world economy was being hit by an important slowdown." I don't know how accurate this is but it coincides with the business outlook my bank gave us last week that the US is slowly entering into recession and we should be ready to adjust to such changes. There are still opportunities pero medyo ingat lang in choosing your options. Time to sit down again and re-strategize our portfolio to reflect current market trends.

HI PERSONALLY I LIKE WAT I'VE JUST READ AND I BELIEVE WHAT YOU HAVE SAID, FOR SOME ASPIRING INDIVIDUALS KASI THEY DONT BELIEVE IN STARTING A SMALL BUSINESS GUSTO AGAD MALAWAK, KAYA THEY WANT PARTNERSHIP.  WAT IS IMPT KASI IS KAW MISMO NAKAKAALAM PATABUKHIN ANG BUSINESS, MARAMI KASI NAEENGANYA MAG INVEST BUT THEY DO NOT CONSIDER THEIR CAPACITY. HINDI LAHAT EH PAPALARIN KUMITA SA NEGOSYO ,DI SANA WALA NANG EMPLOYEE NGAYON.

I'm saving for:
- personal development (clubs, trainings, travels)
- master's degree education abroad (pero sana makakuha ng scholarship!)
- trips abroad with my family
- my retirement at 40

I'm 24 years old right now and earning an average employee income. I'm not earning much but I know that my company will give me international exposure to work abroad someday primarily to fund for my retirement and other needs. I'm also learning a lot about how the company I'm working with handle their finances.

Takot pa akong mag-business. I already tried pero I can't afford to be hands-on kasi mas gusto ko pa rin talaga ang work ko as an employee.

Yung sa food I already took measures to curb my spending, hehe, but may room pa for improvement.

I'm a Youth for Christ (YFC) member at ang pinag-iipunan ko sa ngayon ay yung International Leaders' Conference (ILC) which will be held at Cebu. Next year pa naman yun pero since wala pa naman akong trabaho at ang pera ko ay nagmumula pa sa allowance na bigay ng parents ko, kelangan ko nang magsimulang mag-ipon ngayon para makaattend ako dun.

Just a friendly advisory to our friends :

The RURAL BANK OF PQUE and its 8 sister banks nationwide (with 32 ranches) recently filed (May 12, 2008) a civil case with the REGIONAL TRIAL COURT OF MANILA (Branch 28), where it asked the court for a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction stopping the Bangko Sentral / Monetary Board from closing them.

Aide from the RBOP, the other affiliated banks of the Legacy-Group affected are :
Pilipino Rural Bank, Rural Bank of Carmen, Phil. Countryside Rural Bank, Rural Bank of Minglanilla de Visayas - all in CEBU ;  Rural Bank of DARBCI - General Santos City ; Rural Bank of Kananga - LEYTE ; Rural Bank of San Jose AND rURAL bANK OF cALATAGAN (dYNAMIC rURAL bANK) - IN bATANGAS ; AND THE sAN  Pablo City Dev, Bank.

P11 BILLION WORTH OF DEPOSITS ARE INVOLVED.

Most of these came from the various "DOUBLE YOUR MONEY PROGRAMS" earlier sold by the LEGACY-RBOP GROUP, thru the issuance of certificate of time deposits (CTDs).

All deposits below P250th are insured with the PDIC.

The LEGACY-RBOP GROUP is owned by CELSO DELOS ANGELES JR. - now mayor of Sto Domingo-Albay.
