How to invest in First Metro? May holding period ba? What if months to 1 year lang, saan maganda ilagay?

no holding period. there are fees though if you decide to withdraw within 1-2 years of placement. im in these funds for at least 4-5 years. hoping for serious returns here.

First Metro's equity fund is kicking ass this year. best performing one by far.

since metrobank sila available kaya ang forms instead of downloading sa site, tapos fax pa...pede kaya sa metrobank na ang magprocess since sila nmn un?

bulataw, though First Metro Save & Learn Mutual Fund is essentially a metrobank subsidiary, it is still a separate entity with separate and independent set of officers. hindi pwedeng paghaluin ang mga transactions nila with that of Bank's, unless metrobank becomes an agent of the financial product... as of now, it is just a collecting bank...

I came across this mutual fund: First Metro Save and Learn Equity Fund:
YTD of a whopping 67.22%!!

Is this too good to be true? Parang HYIP yung returns a. Of course, I have read the "past performance is not an indication of future returns... stuff", but this one is affiliated with Metrobank which is the largest bank here in the country. So does this mean it's safe to invest here?

^ I can say it is. Inggit nga ako sa mga pumasok jan sa unang-una pa e. Bago pa lang sila, less than 2 years pa lang sila afaik. Kaya wala pa ring masyadong basis for historical performance. I'm looking at investing in them noon pa, nahirapan lang kasi wala ako sa Pinas at ang hirap pumunta at makipagmeet sa kanila. Most probably this year pasok na ako, bilib naman ako sa Metrobank na backer nila.

nasuya ako sa First Metro Save and Learn na equity fund, all of a sudden their YTD dropped to -33.34. anu to, glitch?

Now that's the best time to invest,if you are already investing with them,that's the time to add more to buy more shares.

,that's what i did with my Philequity and Kabuhayan fund kasi monthly ang investment ko sa kanila,minonitor ko muna everyday after the Feb 27 incident then medyo umaakyat na nun March 8,lagay kagad ako that day( and i added more).Alam ko na i don't have to monitor it pero wala kasi akong magawa eh.Eto ang time ng mga nagaantay ng mga may available cash on hand kaya yung wala ng mga cash they can't do anything about it.Like a friend of mine ,she bought one share of stock here in Taiwan worth 450k(katuwaan lang) then she sold it the next day ,she profitted 10k na.The thing is kakapull out lang nya ang mga mfs nya nung March 1 and she hasn't received the money pero may available cash sya so she can still play and earn.Yung mga taong naipit ang cash walang magawa di nila mabawi yung losses nila kasi wala na silang pang play.

Hi,did anyone invest in FAMI SALEF? It was in #1 position for the last few months among all equity funds...was performing well, until yesterday when NAVPU droppedfrom 2 to roughly 1.5.

Any insights?

You guys must have seen the figures on the Inquirer website. Mukhang nagkamali lang yung nag-encode. Check the NAVPS, nagkabaligtad yung SALEF at SALFIF.

yeh thanks Nailbiter, it clarified alot!

So far, FAMI has been the best performing in terms of the Y-T-D. Though, it hasn't been as long as Philam and Sunlife's equity funds, the fund managers are doing a fantastic job on this.
