hello professor, im new her in pmt and just wana ask if i may... I talked to an agent of Legacy Consolidated and he told me that the 3 year investment plan is insured under the SEC. I was astonished to hear that from what i know, it is only the PDIC who insures our money, but he insisted on claiming about the SEC guarantee. Is there such a thing Professsor? thanks! :D

You are correct. Only PDIC insures deposits and not SEC. SEC never guarantees investments with any company. It does however try to police its ranks but with little or no effect at all.

Reading your post on that particular agent bleeds my heart because I am an agent myself. This is the reason why clients mistrust sales people. This is being discussed in the book by Charles Futrell, "Fundamentals of Selling".

I am currently being mentored by Prof. Chip Miller, PhD of Drake University, USA and with the hope that an invitation for me to teach in Drake University is forthcoming in the field of entrepreneurship as well as in sales and marketing.

Over lunch yesterday, this thread has been discussed quickly. Rest assured, I will make a presentation to him on this product.

It is not only PR Bank that is offering the said product, which is said to be offered until Jan. 31. Since it is a bank product, your deposit is therefore "insulated" by PDIC insurance. When I say PDIC, I do not only mean the theoretical aspect, but also based on experience.

As for the PNBB2, the said risk is because it is not covered by an outside insurance or a guarantee of an independent regulating body. However, the entire 3-year program is covered with postdated checks. Thus, the risk remains a risk. This is minimized though since it only takes 1 year & 4 months to recover the principal investment. Investments are classified under textbook definitions into short, medium and long term. But since investing is also a very personal thing, the defined terms defer on an individuals' risk appetite.

As for me personally, I have both but with strong inclinations toward the PNBB2 product where my personal funds are largely lumped here. I also use the "compounding" theory in my execution of these investments. There are three classifications of people depending on an individuals' risk appetite, the Aggressives, the Moderates and the Conservatives. I happen to be an Aggressive in this particular case. There are two reasons that brought this about, a) my personal objective and b) my access to inside info. With this, I then make my "judgment call".

Greetings segurista! Definitely go for the "quarterly". Of the 14 accounts I have only one is on "monthly" mode. Every month I am placing in this program as long as it is available. By the way, who's you agent on this? And by the way, there's another technique here to hedge on time. PM, email, text or call me on this.

Another innovative product from Legacy Consolidated Plans  an investment product that gives 18 percent   for 6 months  placement.

Professor can you please confirm the availablity of this product and if so can you give us a sample computation.

Where will they invest our money so they can give us this 18 percent for 6 months  .....Makati agents are using the Barkley sales pitch again seems that legacy needs funds to  purchase this barkley company daw this was there sales pitch when the introduce the PBB monthly  3 to 4 months ago .

Thank you Professor

Your post is correct. The computation is simple. Your Php 1,000,000.00 (the minimum amount) becomes Php 1,180,000.00 in 6-months covered with one PDC guaranteed by the Chairman.

segurista, I tried to send you the reply to your PM inquiry but your Inbox is full.

As for the above posting, one doesnt have to subscribe to it. Its really a very personal thing to decide. Personally, I therefore suggest the bank products which is duly covered by PDIC. This way you dont get haunted at night but you get an angelic rest.
