What shall I do with my USD 10,000 idling in a bank savings account?  Is it wise to convert it to PHP or invest the USD in Dollar Funds?  I am not familiar with dollars funds though.  Your thoughts please.

bro for me you have to convert that to peso ASAP,, coz if ur reading newspaper USA can hardly recover though not impossible but for precautionary measures... According to ADB, the recent trading currency in use is the china's yuan (i don't want it, though) after US dollar fall-out.... heheheh

Don't convert it, if you will use it as dollar pa din, like punta ka ba sa abroad para gamitin ito, etc..

Pwede mo siya invest sa dollar mf, 8%-12% ~<>~

or yun nga, ipapalit mo sa peso, kasi baka bumaba pa..
invest sa Mf,, 10-20% ~<>~

Ok ito if short term pero if long term, I would go for a bit riskier but better gain

Medyo conservative fixed deposits, meron din like last week may nag alok sa mother ko from BPI, Filinvest bonds, 6.5 yta per annum for 7 years pero for me masyado maliit kesa sa potential ng MF or UITF or lalo na ng stocks.

Gone are days that we can avail 10-12% interest on Treasury Bonds kc ok (medyo) economy now
