hindi naman lahat nagre retire eh matanda na
i actually went on retirement mode for 3 years
my choice was (and still one of my places to retire) bonifacio global city
lots of things to do within walking distance (although i drive)
close to medical facilities; relatively inexpensive healthcare, btw :)
great social scene and nightlife
accessible weekend getaways

i said one of the places because i don't want to stay in one place year round
i was splitting time between fort bonifacio and the US during those 3 years, shuffling every 2 or 3 months
i'm currently exploring part time residences in florida, panama, and maybe indonesia

If you want to buy a retirement home then property management companies dallas tx provides good homes for retired people. The cost of these home is not so high and any one can get easily within an affordable range.

namention in one of the earlier replies is tagaytay...

actually it seems fit to your needs according to your list...

now the big developers are building high rise condominuims in tagaytay itself... mejo pricy sya. whats happening now is that the land value is still low sa tagaytay and neighboring towns. so this is the best time to buy. kasi pag natayo na ang mga condos, tataas ang value ng land mo for sure...

price range is from 6500 per sq.. yung mga preselling, undeveloped subdivisions who usually do not build their villages well.... yung mga nasa 12 to 15k per sqm ang mga kunin mo, not too high end, pero sakto gumawa mga developers. sure ka hindi cheap ang binibili mo and you are getting your money's worth.

depends on your personality.

if you're a laid back person, enjoys nature tripping and you find it refreshing na yung kokak ng palaka ang makakatulugan mo sa gabi at tilaok ng manok ang gigising sayo sa umaga, then you will probably want to stay sa province nyo (ie, outside the metro, or provincial city) where it is quiet and you can enjoy a slow-paced life. i don't know if that comes with age, not there yet :hihi: ...

But if you're a city person (you were born and raised and grew old sa city), retiring in the province or outside the metro/city might bore you to death. sure you want some peace and quiet, pero SOME lang and not everyday... in which case, sundan nyo ang yapak ni pulubing_palaboy sa bgc, kung afford nyo... :D

Ang best place para sa retiirement ay nasa tao. For me ok na dito sa Nueva Ecija malayo sa pollution kasi maraming mga agricultural land kahit sa mga dinadaanan. Kahit lumaki ako sa city(Angeles) and have been to different cities both here and overseas mai ku kumpara ko based on my experience na marami ring benefits ang tumira sa provnce-less noise less, traffic congestion at wag lang maselan meron din naman kung ano ang nasa big cities-restaurants, spas, malls. Pwede naman pumunta sa mga magagandang lugar basta me sasakyan. Kaya para sa akin ok narin ang mag retire sa province

Am I the only one who worries about Taal Volcano erupting suddenly, without any warning? Haha :D Take note, it is still classified as an "active" and not a "dormant" volcano. According to Wikipedia, the last major eruption was in the 1960's -1970's.

Granted, sobrang rare ng natural disaster na 'to, but once it happens, it will be catastrophic. I wouldn't be able to enjoy a Tagaytay retirement with the knowledge that one day, I could be in a scene from the movie Dante's Inferno. But then, I am a little paranoid. :D

Yung area niya peaceful but at the same time malapit din sa mga commercials para makapag-grocery, etc.
kaka-tripping ko lang don. OKAY SIYA. 8127000 loc 510 number nila.  :bday:

if you really want the best in island living, i suggest talisay city, negros occidental. it's the suburban city north of bacolod city, the capital city and south of silay city, the paris of negros occidental. it's no wonder why ayala land is pouring nearly 6 billion to develop their 200 hectare property in talisay city. talisay city is a rising city, caught in the middle of two developed cities. metro bacolod has got terrific nightlife and several of the country's recognized malls. Hospitals are not a problem as Manny V. Pangilinan even acquired one. cost of living is low and real estate prices are still pretty cheap so condos here are still a rarity. famous personalities like the late larry alcala retired here and movie director peque gallaga is now settled in the city.
