Guys patulong nmn po saan po ba magandang ilagay yung pera ko kasi i have 10k right now medyo nalilito na tlaga ako kung saan ko ilalagay sya actually this saving is for my kids education xenxa na maliit plang e hindi ko kasi alam kung saan mas safe ilagay while earning better interest rate kasi pag sa bank lang alang mang yayari hope you can help me thanks and godbless..

Time Deposit padre, sa bangko yan. pwedeng maging 12k to 15 k within 3 to 5 years siguro. Tapos i-roll over mo na lng pagdating ng maturity.

Parang masyado yatang malaki kung magiging 12k to 15k kagad yan in 3 to 5 yrs lang sa bank. Sinubukan kong gamitin yung time deposit calculator ng Metrobank, ang lumalabas na interest ng 10k for 1 year e 140 pesos lang. So kung 3 to 5 years e mejo hindi pa yata aabot ng 1k.

ALFM is you have no time to tweak on your investment, COL if you have time studying and choosing your stock portfolio.

First question is can you afford to risk your 10k (your kid's tuition in the hopes of a higher yield)? If yes then go for MF or UITF, the risk is they're not covered/insured but usually has a higher yield than time deposit.

Gaano mo siya katagal willing itago? Paano pag magkaroon ka pa ng extra cash? Pag time deposit, di mo na siya pwede galawin or dagdagan eventually diba?

Personally, I only treat VUL as a bonus of my insurance plan. Though not bad, performing naman.

paxenxa na po sa late reply busy with the kids lately well to be honest po ayaw ko nmn isugal yung 10k especially sa mga bata po at ala pang extra fund in time papasukin din po natin yan sa ngaun less risk muna ako

at kung extra nmn po meron nmn po akong nakatabi ang hirap ng empty handed ka incase of emergency about nga po pla sa VUL mukhang interested ako dun how does it work??..and hindi ba xa gnun ka risky compare kay MF at UTIF?.

and enough ba yung 10k to to enter at alin po ba yung magnadng company ng VUL?

bout kay palamig sir hindi po kaya na over look nyo lang po yung 12k - 15k in 3-5yrs?

... pasensya na kayo mga dre kulang ako sa basa at knowledge sa mga time deposit na yan... hula ko lang un amount na nirerepresennt dun pero possible un sa ibang bansa..

Pinaka less risk e sa stocks... primarily blue chips ang bilihin mo 'dre 10k, pwede na un para mag umpisa.

@palamig ok lang po yun sir sguro sa ibang bansa pwede possible cguro yun pero alam mo nmn d2 sa atin nuknukan ng gugulang yun mga bangko especially yun mga unibank. anyway anu ba yung blue chips ba yun sa stock and how does it work???..pinag aaral ko pa lng kasi yung stocks e saka pag pinasok ko xa e gusto PLDT stocks bilin ko kasi kasi maganda performance nya e salamat po sa reply.

@PrizeMaker open din po ako sa uitf kya lang po sa ngayon less risk po talaga iniiwasan natin pero suggest ko sa ibang may budget e itry nila yung BDO uitf still performing yung rates ng fixed-income & balanced fund nila saka pano po pala nagiging risky sa uitf???..salamat po

Prices move up and down, so its risky if need mo yung money the time na down yung trend, you can suffer a loss. Plus, MF and UITF are not covered with PDIC, unlike with your savings account, may habol ka sa savings mo pag nalugi yung bank/firm.

if you have a BPI savings account, mag-enroll ka na din for an online banking account. Then mag-apply ka na din for Online Investment account, convenient kasi ang purchases mo can all be done thru the Internet. Pwede ka bumili nag MF units with the said account, of course BPI/Odyssey lang available. So technically you are investing with BPI. Kung aggressive ang magiging profile mo (based on online risk assessment form), pwede ka mag-avail na ng UITF units like BPI Peso balanced funds.

Edit: Madami ang nagooffer ng mutual funds like sa Sun Life Insurance, hindi ka naman limited lang sa mga banko pero based on experience, convenient para sa akin if sa bangko na din like BDO and BPI
