Does Oanda MT4 work on Mac? Thanks a lot!!

*google does not give definite answer. Oanda says Windows-based. I'm thinking maybe its just not updated? want to double check with you guys.

ask the broker directly, they can help you for sure.

I did and got to know MT4 itself (regardless of the broker) does not work on mac. Hope someone here can suggest something

^Is that so? Too bad, if that's the case. Maybe you can do a google search and look for brokers with platforms that are compatible with your Mac. (Or else, get yourself another computer?)

actually (based on google), the mac users are buying a software just to get MT4 to work, but it's a bit costly considering im not going to trade live as yet. I have another notebook which im not using bec i feel its too S L O W.. if there's no workaround for mac then maybe, yah, i might use the S L O W stuff. thanks maam

Ma'am neat,
use Parallels
3rd party emulator yan allow ing u to install Windows sa big-Mac mo

bootcamp pwede rin daw. pero kailangan mo pa rin ng windows.
virtual box (kung iba pa ito sa Parallels)

wala ko Mac e, so research mo na lang. i'm sure kayang kaya mo yan.
(eto yung gamit nung ibang mac users sa kabilang forum)

ok lang yung slow notebook, ang mahalaga mafamilarize ka sa MT4.
alternatively, merong java-based/web-based (non-MT4) platforms
i would not recommend trading live sa MT4 kasi may daya yun e.

yung ibang broker may MT4 at ibang platform options.

yes, downloaded the Parallels already pero trial lang. Hindi ko sya bibilhin, mahal sya for me. I'm kuripot when it comes to that, if merong ibang way, I would not buy

you keep saying may "daya".. what do u mean by that?

Yes po, im using at the moment java-based pero want to see lang the difference kaya persistent ako about checking din MT4.

dapat updated rin java version sa PC/mac mo.

yes po, updated java. pero sige research pa ko..aral na forex, aral pa ng platform compatibility... aabutin ako ng 2014 nito hehe

ah i see, pero sa kabila ng daya, sobrang dami ng MT4 users. Siguro the convenience outweighs the daya

convenience? oo super. hindi sya tao pero user-friendly.

meron ako live & demo MT4. may iilan na gaya ko na gamit lang ang MT4 for charting only. ang placing ng orders ay sa ibang platform.

kung may mac ka, malamang may pambili ka ng PC or mabilis na PC/netbook

madali lang yang platform. ang magpapatagal sayo yung aral/practice & trading mismo. magresign ka na & uwi ka na.
