[/quote]

Boss, i think he's refering only dun sa group nila not among the Filipinos in UAE.  :)

hello sir,

napadaan lng po,hindi naman po lahat dito sa uae walang investment or not financial literate, isa po ako sa mga ofw sa uae na into stocks, mutual funds, real property and recently actually last month lng after my wedding, my and my wife signed our sunlife mixilink prime...

Again, suspect is the culture of consumerism why most Filipinos cannot save.

Note: Di pa kasama dyan mother's day, father's day, birthdays ng member of the family.

 :applause:

I'm not surprise with the stats at all. Just make an observation within your work, circle of friends & within your neighborhood. Only a few has actual savings let alone investments.

Financial seminars are not targeting the masses especially those marketing certain financial products. Class A & B target Nila kasi alam Nila andyan ang pera.

Hindi dadami mga sanglaan at loan sharks if most people aren't spending more than they can earn.

Saka yung defense mechanism that shut off any new idea or concept you are trying to make them aware of.

The masses doesn't like to think much let alone plan for their future. Somethng radical should happen to wake them up from their ignorance & free them from it's deadly trap.

I'm aware of this and really want to be out of the rat race. Problem is, Solo child supporting a mom and grand mother ako lng my income. Don't have much to invest for, I don't even get the chance to hold on to my salary dahil diretso sa mga gastusin. This is my 1st  day here in this forums hoping that I will be able to pick something up that might free me from this trap. I'm a current call center agent, I don't want to but I have no choice. I'm thinking of investing on forex but I have little to no margin of error. And sobrang liit ng capital ko. I'm just browsing my way through the pages investing on my financial knowledge.

add ko lng to..

MMK ...hahahaha

http://www.thelongestwayhome.com/blog/philippines-journal/how-much-does-a-person-from-the-philippines-earn/

i also use  "tulak kariton" nung 11 yrs old ako...tumatakas ako sa haws,,, and nangongolekta ng bote dyaryo...and im proud of it...

i think ung family relationship for filipinos are so strong, khit hirap na mas gusto nila sama sama....khit ako,, nacocompare ko padin ung time na sama sama kame kumakaen ng tuyo , masya un moment,,, but now asensado mga kapatid ko...abroad na kame lahat kanya kanyang bansa,, pero malungkot,, sobrang mis ko ung hatian sa tuyo..

siguro ung comfort sa family,,, isang factor un why filipinos still poor.. I'm just lucky napaglabanan namen ung ganitong values..

Sobrang nakakarelate ako. Sobrang naghirap, as in parang mahirap pa kami sa daga.

There's a study, that Pinoy economy is 70% domestic consumption (fueled by OFW Remittances and BPO industry).

So, no wonder, consumerism is prevalent sa Pinoy.

I think almost every thing is being buy now by Pinoy..

i mean
1. for OFW's, farm/agriculture is not the best investment, but it is much better than nothing.
2. for OFW's to spend most of their income for a big house in the phils is not good, yet this is still much better than those OFWs (and their family) who spent all their income in luxury and vices, and his/her family still renting a house in the phils.
