for an illiquid stock, even a few thousand pesos can move the price of a stock....

example is San MIguel Purefoods (PF) last January...from a price of 1430/share..somebody sold 5 shares at a price of 801pesos...

thats -43.99% lost in one day...cost of trade is only 4005 pesos

be happy with what you have, while working for what u want..a happy successful life begins with a "thank you Lord for what i have!"

True when buying too. As long as the 20M can buy all the offers. If I am accumulating a very illiquid stock, I am careful not to bid higher than previous close. Those trades are only a few thousand pesos but I was careful not to push the price up while I am trying accumulate it.

I think, if you were able to acquire or earn that HUGE amount of money, you must have the skills to make more money! Or perhaps, you won in the lottery or an ill-gotten maybe?

I totally agree with most of the member's suggestion, hire a financial manager.

but hey, PMT members, I know you are all clever enough to determine which is a hoax or scam, dont be lured to their generous benefits.

sana may 20 Million"s" din ako! hehe

well, he has NOT said it's 20M pesos deposited in a philippine bank.
it could be 20 M centavos
or 20M yen

he also has not said if he's filipino or not; lots of filipinos don't speak tagalog but speak their local dialect plus english.

so how about it, TS? inquiring minds want to know.

20M yen is still significant.
Sir, pesoses po yata yang 20 millions.

I hope I dont get crucified for my post. Hindi ako nagyayabang but I also have 20M pesos in my bank. I also want to know what to do so I can have safe but secured income.
Last year I invested 10M sa isang popular fastfood chain but after 1 year mukhang break even lang, super pagod pa. This year gusto ko palaguin ang remaining money ko 20M but Im too scared kasi last money ko na ito. I thought of buying some townhouses in Makati but with 20M, parang less  than 100k ang income per month. I thought of going into new biz but wala akong nakikitang super exciting. Since January nasa SDA ang 15M nasa savings/checking naman ang 5M, im only earning 35K per month sa 20M.
Do u have any ideas? Wish ko sana may 1M income per month w/ my 20M. Possible ba?

Hi guys, well if I have 20 million pesos. I'll invest in all in one of the top 3 performing high risk stock mutual funds / uitfs that have been performing well for the past few years. They say that the previous price of a fund / uitf is not a good decision maker in choosing a mutual fund / uitf but for me it means the history of good management of a fund. There are times that mf's / uift's would go on on a global crisis but it will go up eventually. If in 1 year , if you'd earn like a good amount 50-percent , you can take the profits and just preserve the capital or you can withdraw it entirely. Or if you even want more, wait a few more years if its performing very well. The key here is to be patient.

--- Take the case of my aunt's 500,000.00 . She used to deposit this amount in her regular savings/checkings account and I told her she won't gain a lot of interest from it. 2 years ago we decided to try td ( time deposit for 1 year ), and we got like only 3-4 percent i think or around 15,000 interest which is pretty low especially if inflation is around 4-percent or more. So last year I decided that we try uitf , i think the 2010-2011 performance was around 100 percent or more so I wanted to try it. So by 2011-2012 we invested on the large capitalization uitf. I think there's an annual fee for managing the uift , just like in some mutual funds they deduct 5percent of the amount you invest. So anyways last month she withdrew her uitf and got around like 107,000 in gains.

This time we transferred the 500,000 to another mutual fund for a 2012-2013 run. And I told her with the excess money she has , she adds fewer amounts monthly to her account and see how things goes. She wants to build an apartment next year or making a start a new business ( shes from the us and comes to the ph like once a year only , but when she retires she might stay for good ). So I told her if she plans to start a biz or build an apartment, then she should add more millions to her account so that when she comes back in 2013. If the fund grows like at least 20-50 percent , then we can withdraw all or use the gains to start the business.

So in the future the business runs well , every month majority of the profits will go to a fund etc. Then preserving the capital you spent ( from the 500k, to the millions on a safer investment  , like TD's or deposits )  =)

----------------------
---------------------------------------

Now if you go to a business approach. Starting a business ( well no idea what kind or how things really works ). But if all goes well like a ROI in 6 months, i suggest by the 7th month you lock majority of the profits to a mutual fund / or a different investment that would yield more income.

----------------------

Last advice would be stock trading. With 20 million you have a lot of ammo at your disposal. But the thing is if you want to play safe or play blackjack 50-50. Your earnings from your 20 m could differ on the stocks that your purchase and so on. You can gain 5, 10, 100, 200 , even 800 percent or even more multiplying your 20 m but you need to be really smart in making your decisions. I know it would seem impossible but trust me there are a lot of guys ( here in PMT ) who have done this , just count me out since I go with "tsismis analysis or tignan ano sinabi nila sa forum analysis" and not on the more complex fundamental/technical analysis.

@happzz , r u talking of my aunt's case ? Well I told her mga blue chip stocks and mga mining stocks and so on. Pero don't want to kasi if I make a mistake baka magalit sha if my mga losses. If mag decide sya mag invest additional millions sa mutual fund nya now , tapos by next year or lets say 2014 ng increase by 30 - 50 percent , well siguro ill either take everything or ung gains lang. Tapos ung gains e hati sa negosyo and stock trading online.

@gang13

if you had saved up 30M previously, you should have an idea of the difficulty or the hard work involved to saved up that much. You should stick to what you've been doing right to accumulate your millions, since it's something your familiar with & something obviously you're good at.

Hi Bp22,
I have existing biz which used to earn a lot during 2003-2009, through this biz I was able to save and bought some properties, and help my family too. However, due to many factors this biz is already not earning. Drop of sales started 2010, I was no longer earning that much, instead losing money narin. I tried doing everything to save it but it's really not working anymore. Im also tired, burned out. I already have plans of closing this biz in the next 2 years. Since then, I have been looking for alternative biz.
Thanks!

Don't worry, there are a few members here in PMT with much much more than that...

But as to your concern, if you had 25M, you can have your money taken cared of by BPI Private bank.  Chinabank has private bank too at only 20M, pero wala pa atang track record.

I recommend BPIPB cus they're very conservative, and by the way it looks, it may take you some time to find an equally lucrative business.  Some of my friends who are retired from corporate life park their money here.
