Late bloomer kumbaga. Sideline lng nman tong investment.

Today i have done some interesting calculations to find out whether the uinvest is really paying the investors with the profits generated from the projects that we have invested in or just paying the investors with the money that was collected from us.. which usually happens in hyip scams which disappears when the outflow of the money becomes greater than inflow.

Actually, nagbasa-basa ako sa internet and I came across this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer-to-peer_lending

Too bad yung Prosper.com and Lending Club pang US based lang.  :bahalaka:

Uinvest is a legal entity and registered in the Beverly Hills, USA and has office there. I think US authorities will not be registered it if it has illegal activities. I think US authorities are intelligent enough to determine if Uinvest activities are illegal. Please check registration here: http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/cbs.aspx    (Entity Number=C3385516)

Here you can also see Uinvest registration in the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce: http://web.beverlyhillschamber.com/Financial-Planning-Services/Uinvest%2c-Inc.

For those Online HYIPs mentioned above, they are not legally registered in the US...I think Genius Fund was registered in Cyprus.

Companies are not allowed to get funds directly from the public.  There are regulations that restrict it, and this generally applies to all countries including Ukraine.

The only way the public could get involved in investment is through stock exchange/trading.

Post Merge: Jul 16, 2012, 04:41 PM
Points to consider:

- Absence of proper certifications - Obviously, every stock market participant must have certificate from authorities / regulator (government).  This is not evident on any pages of the company profiles on the UInvest site which clearly state the official certificate from the proper authorities.  These regulations are necessary to protect the public from fraudulent investments.  No certificate = Fraud.  Uinvest must have a certificate issued of Ukrainian authority and also a United States SEC certificate.

- Uinvest offers fixed dividends from shares - Promising fixed dividends from shares is a very questionable practice as dividends are commonly in accordance to the profit or loss of company operations and audited by duly mandated auditors.  How can it offer fixed dividends and state it in advance ? Financial instruments that offer fixed returns in advance are BONDS.

- Public companies must clearly state their company profile and they are obligated to provide (be audited) financial reports periodically.  Several companies (projects) in Uinvest give vague informations about the company addresses, CEOs, and there is clear absence of publicly audited financial reports.

- Why only Ukraine?  No similar site exists from the US, European countries, Japan, or any other countries.  Entities of this nature should have been present from around the world as there are a lot of companies who need investors.

Hi,

Good point. I asked someone from Uinvest, here are their answers:
Companies are not allowed to get funds directly from the public.  There are regulations that restrict it, and this generally applies to all countries including Ukraine.

-Our companies sell its shares, according to our law
-There is over 17 Billion Dollars in Alberta alone that is transferred from the Public to companies from Angel Investors in Canada alone...
Sorry I meant to say 17B in Canada alone
-According to Stats Canada. This Money is without a Broker involved. Also if you look at International Law you will notice that a Company can Loan money to another Company any where in the world.

Absence of proper certifications - Obviously, every stock market participant must have certificate from authorities / regulator (government).
- May certificate sila sir, and its real, actually you can request one, e papa DHL pa nila sau. Naka hologram pa sya at sealed. Wala lng ako time para kumuha ng certificate kasi, the shipping and fee costs $100. Pero I've seen one on a private blog. Too confidential kasi ito at ung uinvest magbibigay lng sila if you really need it. Di nila ito pinopost sa public which make sense nman.

Uinvest offers fixed dividends from shares - Promising fixed dividends from shares is a very questionable practice as dividends are commonly in accordance to the profit or loss of company operations and audited by duly mandated auditors.  How can it offer fixed dividends and state it in advance ? Financial instruments that offer fixed returns in advance are BONDS.

Ive seen it goes up and down. Pero pag stable ang monthly income, they tend to retain the price of it.

Public companies must clearly state their company profile and they are obligated to provide (be audited) financial reports periodically.  Several companies (projects) in Uinvest give vague informations about the company addresses, CEOs, and there is clear absence of publicly audited financial reports.
- You can request for it, and they will give it to you privately. KEEP IN MIND, that business must have some privacy. Risking their confidential information may endanger their business and will put everyone in jeopardy. That’s the fact that some rookie investors don’t understand.
One should never worry about the assets they’re investing because UInvest promise to mail all investors certain documents confirming their ownership. The certificate is protected by a hologram sticker and sealed by director. In the mail package there will also be your business review - description of your business, photos and its address.

To be transparent, here's their forum link that several investors like me intends to ask similar questions. You can start investigating here

Why only Ukraine?  No similar site exists from the US, European countries, Japan, or any other countries.  Entities of this nature should have been present from around the world as there are a lot of companies who need investors.
- I has been present around the world. Several businesses which are not in Ukraine are(Houseboat rental business in Canada, Bungalow in Netherlands). That's why they have organize GUN (Global Uinvest Network). Visit gunproject.org for more info. I am also targetting to become a GUN agent in the Philippines in future.

Btw pala, Im not forcing anyone to join. Just like anyone of you, they provided me reasons and convinced me that it is worth to try.

Location: Canada, British Columbia
Business: Houseboat rental business in Canada
Period of business activity: 2 years
Price per share: $300
Monthly earnings: $40

That's 13.3% PER MONTH!

Uinvest is a HYIP (read scam). Anyone who says otherwise is deluding him or herself. Ingat lang kayong mga newbie/late-bloomer "investors" and try not to get carried away. :)

They've made huge strides in making their program look professional but it's all in the numbers. Ingat.

CONCLUSION:  Uinvest is an HYIP (read scam) - A type of Ponzi scheme which promises unsustainably high return on investment by paying previous investors with the money invested by new investors.  It's very easy to fake the businesses shown on their website.

The so-called "answers" given were not sufficient.  They are all justifications by a naive or otherwise misinformed individual too overwhelmed by the excitement of gaining high returns.  Too much greed is not good!!!

CONCLUSION:  Uinvest is an HYIP (read scam) - A type of Ponzi scheme which promises unsustainably high return on investment by paying previous investors with the money invested by new investors.  It's very easy to fake the businesses shown on their website.

I also believe this. Uinvest is a type of HYIP. They just added new flavor(virtual businesses) to entice unwary investors. The "hologram and seal" in the certificates are nothing. Who's seal is it? The company? The Business? If yes, then those certificates are worthless.
Uinvest said that the businesses/projects available for the public to invest are safe companies, they claim they thoroughly study every company before they put those companies on their list. If this is "TRUE", then those companies won't have a hard time borrowing money from banks wherein they would pay less in interest than they are paying dividends now(average 14%monthly!).

Now let us put ourselves in the shoes of an owner of a company to be listed in Uinvest, our company has a good financial statement, strong balance sheet, very liquid. Of course the bank would be willing to lend us money right? Why wouldn't they? But we still want to be listed in Uinvest and pay a ridiculous 14% of our earnings every month? This doesn't make any sense.

I have nothing against those who have invested here, but you guys think about it, are you willing to pay 14% per month even if there is a way you can pay like let's say 14% per year?
