Sir FutureGizmo et al,

During my recent active status here at PMT, especially in our beloved Forex subforum, w/c by the way is very entertaining and educational at the same time, i noticed some disparity if i may call it that...

i read na sa bawat subforum, "No Ads Allowed"?

and i think we also have the "Ads Section" wherein all advertisers are "encouraged" to sell/advertise their wares/services there...

1.) in the Forex Subforum, bakit may Ads na natanggal at may Ads na hindi natanggal?

2.) why was W.DP's thread removed, pero yung kay BFX hindi? to BFX, no offense bro...it's a fact

3.) why was the LiteForex's thread removed, pero ang IkoFX at Admiral markets threads ay hindi? to the thread starter of IkoFX and Admiral, again no offense meant...it's a fact

anyway, my sole purpose is to clarify lng naman...

bec if pwede na, i can now sell my viagra, horny goatweed, tongkat ali, penis enlarger, vibrators, dildos, sex dolls...hahaha...just kidding...

and to all the thread starters that i mentioned above, deleted or not deleted, i wouldn't care less abt ur products or services, whether they get deleted or not, whether they end up in the trash bin or promoted as stickies...i don't give a damn...haha...no, i'm serious!!!

seriously, as i said, i'm just clarifying...as always...for consistency and order in our beloved forum...

Thank you for the questions. We appreciate them since we get to explain the rationale of our moderator actions while highlighting the importance of the PMT Forum Rules.

In response to your questions:

I'll answer these two questions simultaneously. We remove posts that are obvious advertisement offers, because as per the Forum rules, they should only be posted in the Advertising folders. However, we also cater to Sponsored Posts or companies who advertise on PMT -- and this is the case with IkoFX and Admiral Markets. This is also the reason why their thread titles are clearly titled (AD) and the post includes a note at the bottom that the thread is a Sponsored Post.

2.) why was W.DP's thread removed, pero yung kay BFX hindi? to BFX, no offense bro...it's a fact

W.DP's thread was removed because it was an advertisement. If he posted it in the Ads folder, we would have allowed it. In the case of BFX's thread, if you remember, I posted on January 13 my concerns on the said thread:

Right now, I don't see the point of making this conversation thread public. If you want a way to monitor the performance of your pool, better use the PM function or create your own Yahoo Group rather than opening the entire pool to the opinion of outsiders. If, however, you simply want to use this thread to see the trading strategies and and trading history of a trader, we'll allow that in the forum in the same way we allow other members who post to share their trading activity.

Please decide how you envision this thread will evolve. If you think the PM or Yahoo Group is more appropriate, please say so so that this thread will be closed. Otherwise, this will remain as public and you will have to allow outsiders to make comments on the trading strategies/activity being posted here.

Two members, including you, responded and wanted to retain the thread.

It's not that comments are not welcome. What I actually meant was that posts at this early stage (while I'm still getting our 4-member pool started) should be confined to topic-related ones. It's just to lessen confusion, that's all.

Once BFX starts trading the PAMM account, people will be free--encouraged even--to post away as much as they want.

I'm curious to see how this experiment pans out. I'm almost sure others in the PMT community are, too.

This is after all an off-shoot of another public thread...

Her requests for keeping posts at the very least thread-related seems reasonable...

I'm sure a lot of people are looking forward to this project's development...

In the same way we allow forex traders to post their trading activity, we yielded to your and Prospera's request to allow the thread in order for other members to comment on BFX's trading strategy.

We continuously monitor that thread, but the moment we see that BFX's thread has turned into an investment solicitation thread, that is tantamount to advertising and we will move that thread to the appropriate Advertising folder.

I hope that answers your questions. 

BY the way, I moved your thread to the "User Feedback" folder because it's more appropriate there.

Sir BFX has been soliciting investments within that thread, explicitly or not. the related thread in itself, is a dynamic advertisement.
so, where do u draw the line?

@fE, it is really subjective to determine if a post is a quasi-advertisement or not and that is why in the PMT Forum, this power is the prerogative of the moderators and administrator. We reserve the right to determine which posts are ads and to remove those which we believe are ads. We, however, appreciate members who report to us posts they think are in violation of the rules.
