11.50 is still cheap for this stock. Maganda ang fundamentals nito and di mahirap to assess the possible book value nito considering the figures are already given.This is highly recommended to keep for long term. Wag lang sana pagkaitan ang public kung magkaroon sila ng resiisuance ng additional shares to satisfy the standard of PSE.

bauer raised a problem about the minimum 10% float.. how will this affect TDY?

Well there is a PSE rule (i hope it will not be altered again) that by the end of this year, if the 10% minimum float is not complied, the stock will be SUSPENDED for trading in the next 6 months, afterwards, there is a very high risk of delisting.

If and when the publicly listed stock is suspended, taxes on the trading of stock will sky rocket from 0.5% to 5-10% (capital gains).

Caution to all investors that trades listed firms not compliant with the minimum public float.  Time is running out.

He is not bashing...he is just stating the facts...

Failure to do so will result in the suspension of trading in their shares for up to six months beginning the first trading day next year.

Once trading is suspended, any transaction on stock trades will no longer enjoy the preferential tax rate of 0.5 percent. The Bureau of Internal Revenue will instead slap the five-to 10-percent capital gains tax on stock trades.

Aside from this, companies must still pay listing fees while they are suspended.

According to the disclosure, Tanduay's float level is 12.63% which above the 10% minimum.  Hindi naman siguro papayag si Kap na ma-suspend or ma-delist kumpanya nya..

Does it imply current price may/will fall once consolidation takes place? Is this what Bauer is trying to say?  I am pretty sure TDY/LTGroup will comply with the SEC rule.

grabe talaga ang TDY. at current prices, valuation for this stock is now about 325B? while SMC is only 265B. I'd like to see for how long TDY will make this run...

ah maybe your new in pmt.  i have shared in my past threads that i do not invest in the stock if there is a strong question on management integrity of a public company.  the lucio tan group fits the bill.

Hindi po ako sumasabay sa agos ng tubig sa dagat, ok lang kapag high tide, hindi mo malalaman kung sino ang nahubuan.  Paano pagbiglang nag low tide?  Doon makikita ang mga nahubuan.

Pinag iingat ko lang ang mga baguhan sa stock trading kasi for the past 12 years, ang dami ko na nakitang malungkot na kinahitnan ng mga pinaghirapang savings na nauwi sa wala.

Pag si KAP ay na delist sa stock exchange, WALANG MAWAWALA SA PERA NIYA.  ang disadvantage lang ng delisting ay dadaan ka uli sa umpisang proseso sa pagkuha ng kapital sa stock market kung ayaw mo ng corporate debt papers.

Paano naman ang ang minority shareholders at mga speculators?  maiipit ang kanilang pera kasi mahirap magbenta ng shares kung hindi siya listed sa stock exchange dahil mahirap malaman ang tamang market price.

Yan naman ay 'worst case scenario'.

Ngayon, ang malaking tanong,  Bago ba sumapit ang december 2012 deadline to meet the 10% minimum stock float ay MAGANDA ang takbo ng stock market?

If yes ang sagot, magbebenta si KAP ng shares niya dahil MAGANDA ang price ng shares.

If no ang sagot, Si KAP, na isang tusong negosyante, ay papayag ba na magbenta ng shares niya kung hindi niya gusto ang presyo?
