Seeking advice: I have GEO shares which i bought noong medyo mataas pa siya. Now I lost almost 40% of the value. From your analysis or knowledge maka recover pa kaya eto, or it is better to sell it and use the money to buy other "good" stock.

May I ask you a question? Anu naging basis mo to come up with the decision na bumili ng isang stock like for example yung GEO? Kelan mo siya binili ?

cguro mga 1+ yong nakuha mo? Jockeyed stock kasi ito so d mo malaman when ito babalik sa ganyang level. As of now we are sure na malayo yong price mo sa current price. Kung technical naman basihan, consolidation pa ito. If you can find other fast horse, sell mo portion of your geo and then buy the other horse.

Some positive notes on ORE's latest PSE disclosure:

ORE's balance sheet shows increased profitability. Retained earnings is at Php718m as of June 30, 2012 vs. Php79m last year and negative (Php215m) in 2010. ORE has no interest bearing debt. Capitalization is up 42% from a year ago to Php2.7bn due to better profitability and cash is also up 8.4 times last year's level to Php93m.

Net operating cash flow is now positive Php280m compared to negative Php 124m a year ago. Build-up in receivables in 1H2012 worth Php308m is not unusual from a cash-flow standpoint as it is within historical trend and is even lower than 2011's Php393m.

Shipments receivables rose to Php1.0bn from Php397m a year ago, averaging 4 shipments a month in 1H2012 for a total of 24 shipments for the period. The comparable shipment period last year was 7 or 2.3/mo (considering shipments started only in 2Q11). Nevertheless, one should not look at the absolute growth or the level of receivables, but how the company has managed receivable collection period and turnover. The same perspective should be taken for inventory, which all point to improving trends.

It is really tempting to sell off your losing stocks and re-align them to faster horses. As they always say "Paper loss lang yan, babalik din iyan."

Maybe because medyo green horn din ako sa stock investing, I kept holding on to my ORE and MARC. I was too scared selling them at the time of their major price downfall. Sayang talaga. It is quite assuring that Gus Cosio is pretty optimistic especially with ORE. Well see what September will bring on to the table. I heard something significant is about to happen soon.

ngayon daw labas ng implementing rules ng mining eo? any feedback/ sneak peek on the IRR? seems positive, or pa-efek lang (LC/B, MA/B, APM, OPM, GEO puro nabuhay) para magising naman mga mining sa pagkakahimbing ..
