I would like to start trading in foreign exchange, and I am looking for tips on how to get started with forex trading? I have looked at some of the trading platforms out there, and they seem quite complex and intimidating. Your help would be appreciated.

you should start by visiting babypips.com read,read,read including in forex forums. No one can learn forex trading in just one day. or just visit mcpip's thread. There are a lot of info.

Saw this introductory video about trading. The speaker says, "Trading is a two horse race--you simply bet on the direction." He showed me a vivid picture of what trading is and gave me a firm footing for further study.

How I'm learning trading now is by trading. I'm trading bitcoin, a new digital currency that has been gaining traction lately. Its market value in the the last few months is subject to wild swings. Three weeks ago its value was just below 10 US dollars; a week after that it went up to 32; another week later it crashed to 1 cent when the database of its biggest exhange got compromised. And now, showing great resilience, its price is cruising at around 15 dollars.

The current volatility of the price of bitcoin offers a good opportunity to learn how markets like this behave because I can see rallies and crashes in a short time. And because I'm actually trading there's also a chance of making huge profit, as well as taking great losses. Triumph and pain will be good teachers--especially pain. So beware, buyer.

We can only learn like this while the bitcoin market is new, before it matures to the boring stability of the dollar and the peso.

@andrewjohn, tama si golyat. READ, READ, READ. malaki ang maitulong ni BABYPIPS for a beginner. after you familiarize the FX terms and definitions, you might want to READ FX books.
