If I may share my views on ACE, sa tingin ko consolidate muna ito sa baba. No new signal for uptrend.

ACe nasagot na,tingin ko conso din muna..same with RCB..ung nga lang e ayoko ung red candle plus big volume ng rcb.hopefully mag hold ang 44.just set ur stops lang po and....

Tanduay Rises to 13-Year High on Valuation Outlook: Manila Mover

Aug. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Tanduay Holdings Inc. rose to a 13- year high in Manila trading after the largest Philippine rum- maker said plans to become the holding company of billionaire owner Lucio Tan’s assets boosted its share value.

The stock climbed 48 percent to 11.34 pesos as of the midday trading break in Manila, heading for the highest close since August 1999. The stock surged by the 50 percent daily limit yesterday following its announcement that it will hold Tan’s investments in brewing, airlines, property and tobacco.

Tanduay’s board approved a plan that would allow the company to invest outside of liquor and acquire Tan’s other assets, the Manila-based company said in a filing yesterday. Tan is the country’s second-richest man with a fortune of $4.5 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

Putting Tan’s assets under one group may “enhance the value of the companies” by creating a conglomerate with a stronger combined balance sheet that can raise more funds for expansion, said Jomar Lacson, an analyst at Campos Lanuza & Co.

Tanduay said it will acquire Tan’s investments in Philippine Airlines Inc., Fortune Tobacco Corp., Philippine National Bank, Allied Banking Corp., Air Philippines Corp., Asia Brewery Inc., and Eton Properties Philippines Inc.

“The consolidation of all these assets in one company necessarily enhanced the share values,” Tanduay said in a filing after the market closed yesterday.

re: CAL and price manipulation… CAL is back to its IPO price na ba or lower pa? what’s the consequence kaya to the CAL owner or the company itself (aside from the stock price plummeting), if the controversy progresses into a full-blown SEC case? May sabit kaya sila or mga jockeys/manipulators lang ang tatamaan (sila boy patatas ba yan miko?). I’m not very familiar sa insider trading cases dito sa atin e… besides, in our rumor-driven stock market, parang open-secret naman ang insider trading sa atin, strictly speaking...

Re Pgold: Baka naman pakiusapan ni Tito Sotto ang mga ka-kosa niya sa Senado to leave Co out of the Senate hearing on the rice-smuggling issue (if it does push thru)... dahil Pgold is a major EatBulaga sponsor. Haka-haka ko lang naman ito, being a regular lunchtime tv viewer. I also heard Arnold Clavio say on his radio program yesterday na may pipeline din daw si Co sa Malacanang (which is perhaps why his rumored smuggling activities remain unhampered?). Anyhoo, tingnan na lang natin...
