My Personal Stock Analysis
« on: Jun 22, 2011, 01:10 PM »
Hi Everyone, Hi PMT,

As I practice my stock analysis on PSE, I created a blog as well. I use a combination of technical analysis and fundamental analysis. Note though that I am still new to this. Please visit and let me know what you think.

Opinions, criticisms and advises are all welcome.

NOTE: This is not to hype anything but to develop our skills on stocks analysis. Remember, trade only at your own risk.

Hi, I updated my blog to add new analysis. Mining seems very bullish still. My analysis involves AT, MA and PX.

Tyrone,

Your analysis is mostly technical rather than fundamental. :) Since I don't know anything about technicals... well, let's just move on.

The fundamental portion needs work. A LOT of work. Sorry to burst your bubble.

BTW, low P/E's only indicate cheapness. Alone they will not tell you if it's a bargain or a trap.

:D

Hi Sir TSO, thank you for the feedback. No need to apologize. :)

If you may, what is the best thing to check when using fundamental analysis?
Currently I am doing only a quick look on fundamentals. The reason I am looking for the ratios such as P/E.

Since you're doing "quick looks", I advise:
1. Net Profit Margin
2. Total Asset Turnover
3. Return on Equity
4. Debt / Equity or Debt / Assets.
5. Growth in sales
6. Growth in net income

Very basic, but combined with P/E and P/B, it provides a much better understanding of the company being examined. You may want to consult cliffhanger's thread. He's not doing in-depth analysis or screening like me, but the swift glimpses he generally provides are extensive enough to stoke a desire to go in-depth or not.

Alright. Will add those information on my next analysis.
I have seen cliff's blog as well. He's doing good posting those fundamentals. Maybe I should focus much on technicals. Haha

Anyway. Thanks a lot Sir TSO. :)

Hi jhito,

updates on my review yesterday on LC.

http://pseanalysis.wordpress.com/2011/06/28/2011-06-28-ali-ap-ore/

the huge selling volume today, press down the price of LC.
chartwise, it still managed to remain on the ascending triangle.

though I fear it might go down all the way if 90 don't hold tomorrow.
