Reproductive Health (RH) Bill: Are you PRO or ANTI?
« on: May 18, 2011, 06:27 PM »
Hi fellow forumers, as we all know there is an ongoing debate on RH bill. Please express your opinions here but refrain from using inappropriate words and as much as possible keep the discussion healthy.

Let me start, I am Pro-RH and I am Catholic.

What's funny is that those who are anti-RH seem to misunderstand something.

What's the difference of the RH-bill to our currently existing family planning program?

me too i really dont care about RH bill na yan.. dependi naman yan talaga sa inyo how you manage your family. di naman kailangan i pass yan at bakit kahit may RH bill na sa pilipinas do you think giginhawa ang buhay natin? dapat talaga i pasa ang mga graft and corruption kasi ganon pa rin ang buhay nang mga pilipino kahit may RH nothing will change sa ganyan bill.. i am sure!

Summary of major provisions

The bill mandates the government to “promote, without bias, all effective natural and modern methods of family planning that are medically safe and legal.”[3]

Although abortion is recognized as illegal and punishable by law, the bill states that “the government shall ensure that all women needing care for post-abortion complications shall be treated and counseled in a humane, non-judgmental and compassionate manner.”[3]

The bill calls for a “multi-dimensional approach” integrates a component of family planning and responsible parenthood into all government anti-poverty programs.[3]

Under the bill, age-appropriate reproductive health and sexuality education is required from grade five to fourth year high school using “life-skills and other approaches.”[3]

The bill also mandates the Department of Labor and Employment to guarantee the reproductive health rights of its female employees. Companies with less than 200 workers are required to enter into partnership with health care providers in their area for the delivery of reproductive health services.[3]

Employers are obliged to monitor pregnant working employees among their workforce and ensure they are provided paid half-day prenatal medical leaves for each month of the pregnancy period that they are employed.[3]

The national government and local governments will ensure the availability of reproductive health care services, including family planning and prenatal care.[3]

Any person or public official who prohibits or restricts the delivery of legal and medically safe reproductive health care services will be meted penalty by imprisonment or a fine.[3]

Medyo bias nga ang bill between men and woman... Anyway, kidding aside I'm for it. (PRO).

Pro! It's funny how anti-RH bill people become irrational when they argue their cause. Roilo Golez said many lawmakers will not be present today if the RH bill was passed before they were born. That's stupid. Others are suggesting that those against the bill should stop paying taxes. WTF?! Pacquiao is against it because God commanded us to "go out and multiply". Hehehe. They can't really make an intelligent argument against the bill that's why they're resorting to irrational behavior. One sensible thing that they argue is that it may promote abortion which I do not really agree with. Abortion is still against the law. Let's pass this bill and let's move on. Church should concentrate on what to do to stop their members from switching to bro. Ely's group. :)

Corruption is the main reason of POVERTY in the philippines... as a matter of fact having more babies gani is a blessings from God and that depends on the parent how they raise their kids.. ofcourse giving the right values and pointing out ...that education is important for every individuals.. Quality Education could Conquer POVERTY!.. With Quality Education we can get a better job.. SO dapat ang i focus sang government is EDUCATION! not RH bill or watever...

Isa pala ako sa mga walang paki-alam. Hehehe

Wala naman dapat kasing issue as far as Christian's perspective is concern since optional lang naman ito.

Religious leaders should focus on educating their people; not meddling on government's affairs.

May magiging problema ba? Wala na dapat di ba?

Ang nakakalungkot lang, they seem to be trying to put the blame to the government policies their failure to control their people.

What ya tink...ok ba solucion ko.
