Balita ko po boss ay palpak daw ang unang real estate test eh. Sa mga reviews - you can organize na lang a group review and invite fellow real estate brokers and review among yourselves - share the knowledge.

Hi,

Rumors I heard is that the PRC has an advisory that Broker Exams are to be done until July this year, and the next ones will have to go through a 4-year course already.

In terms of reviews, there's Caesar Santos and the PAREB, REBAP, etc. local chapters  which usually organize classes when an exam is upcoming. Might be best to contact them for slots. just google them.

The next exam for brokers will be on November 2011 and you need 120 hours seminar/training. Cost is about Php20,000. If you are practicing real estate already, you only need 60hours (cost is Php10,000) from training centers and the remaining 60hours from your company or registered broker certifying of your work as a broker. That will save you P10,000.

Other training centers offered the whole 120hours as a package while Cesar Santos Academy previously offered 2 batches of training/seminar with 60hours each.

Since the brokers exam will still be on November, you may start self reviewing for now. The exam scheduled for July is for appraisers.

I agree with payback, mrami kpalpakan in terms of the 1st one... Better organize a group review with your co-worker or friends who are really willing to become a real estate broker.. Anyway passing rate last June's examination was about 80% above so that means it's not that hard to get one...

I belong to the first batch who took the PRC REB Exam and passed it. It is a requirement to have an accredited review center for PRC would not allow you to take the exam if you dont have one. Actually the review centers especially PAREB gave a very comprehensive review but of course its up to you on how you will pass the exam. As for me i did also self study and own research for there were really out of this world questions especially the "ECOLOGY" as been the big issue and surprise to all those who took the exam. You have to have a grade not lower than 75% on all the 3 test questions if you fail 1 you automatically flunk :) If im not mistaken only 60% out of 100% had passed the exam

I agree with Paulette. You must present a certificate from accredited training centers. Some applicants for the exam who used certification from brokers took days before receiving confirmation that they can take the exam.

You may organize a review group but still, you need notarized certifications that you've undergone training or that you've worked as a broker.

The exam is not hard if you are a very well-rounded person. But if you are an accountant or a teacher or an engineer or an IT person who graduated years ago and you're taking an exam with majority of the questions on "ECOLOGY", terms as as biomes, niche, etc., the exam would not be that easy. :)

I remember those ecology questions. Buti na lang magaling ako manghula.

That said, attend 1 accredited CRESAR then join a group review and answer as many past exams as you can. They repeat some of the questions anyway so you'll get a lot of free points from the past exams. Just note the items that are already obsolete (such as DTI regulations).

Please note that only college graduates are eligible to take the exam and become licensed real estate brokers upon passing.  Those who are at least 2nd year college may get PRC accreditation as real estate agents.

Hope that helps,

Jon
