  • sa bpi puede naman mag redeem  pakunti kunti

meron ako both bpi and uitf for years. bond and equity. sabay ko pa nga minsan sila pinapasok just to compare. same street kasi and pareho ako may bank acct.
conclusion ko? halos same lang performance.

i recently closed my bdo trust accounts and transferred the proceeds to bpi uitf and some to stocks. di kasi organize yung bdo dito sa amin eh! mas madali and convenient sa akin bpi

  • @guido:

ah.. thanks. Ako naman sa BDO kasi nung time na nag-open ako eh weekends lang ako madalas nakakapunta sa bank, so mas convenient saken BDO.

  • question naman sa equity funds?

kung meron na ako units at mas mataas na ang navpu nya ngayon. ibebenta ko ba dapat ang mga units na yun? buy low and sell high ba ito palagi? or bili lang ng bili ng units habang mura?

  • Well sir, if you believe that the market would go down.
    Then by all means sell.

If you think the market would continue to go up, don't
sell. Buy and buy until the point you think the market would
    go down.

Practical advise sir is to just continue investing.. Unless you
    have a crystal ball hehe

  • Have you noticed, guys here, both bpi and bdo are doing all right now, seems like the market has stabilized into an upward trend however slower or faster; no matter how slow just that they keep going up, that should make us all happy.

  • Historically for the past 5 years+, BDO is doing a lot better then BPI, plus the easy to use online UITF Yield calculator (no sign-up required) of BDO, makes me point the winning corner to BDO:boxing:

I like to ask the knowledgeable and experienced folks here:

How do funds operators like Bpi and Bdo and Metro and whatever else operators do to keep their funds traders from being pirated by other operators?

Who are the terrific funds traders or where are they, so that we can follow them in their latest transfer to another funds investment operators, because if Bdo is doing better thatn Bpi, it is because Bdo has better i.e. more productive traders.

I say traders because at the end of the day it is the traders who are making the actual gain or incurring the actual loss.

What do you guys here say?

I assume you referring to the fund managers. I dont think that the fund manager is the sole decision maker in the handling of the funds. First there is a set benchmark for the fund and the porfolio is well defined for a ceratin period as disclosed in their website. The bank relies in a collection of analysts, researchers and experienced personell to guide them and the manager just executes inputs from this group i.e how, when and where to invest.

    My 2 cents..
