of course BDO, second highest performer siya (in terms of returns) sa equities after unionbank pero 100,000 min kasi nun eh..... Magaling raw ang fund manager or investment managers nila kaya sinuwerte sila, mas-lalo na last year at atleast 10,000 lang ang min participation niya, sa BPI naman kasi parang pang 4th ata sya, ang 3rd Metrobank ata (correct me, if im wrong)

Check nyo rin ang convenience factor...

Like if your strategy is cost averaging, or in and out via market timing, then mapapadalas kayo magdropby sa bank for the docs and certificates...so try to check on the convenience factor din if ever...

although it's been said so many times, past performance is not indicative of future performance.
but i still prefer BDO, for convenience, and also since i think they have a good fund management system.
i've already bought a few units since last month and I see myself continuing this for a few more months.

Hi

also consider the management fee / the trust free , BDO has the lowest management free of 1% while bpi is 1.5% , If you want to know more and compare equity UITF try this site and hope it works for you. "http://uitf.com.ph/toap/Matrix/index.html"

I have an equity fund from both banks, but between the two I like BDO Equity.. I placed small amount to BPI Equity just for comparison. Tama, maliit nga ang Management Fee ng BDO 1% lang, 30 days holding period, P10,000 min/additional placement while BPI 1.5%, 90 days holding period, P10,000 min palcement and P1,000 additional.

Hi;

nice thread guys, I have no knowledge about Equity UITF yet so I need to educate my self about this. I only have BPI peso time deposit account with 182 days term for 2.3750% per annum interest.

BDO when it comes to returns
And when you enroll in their EIP, super convenience rin =D

But a BPI rep told me they will be implementing an online
buy and sell function soon so baka magiging convenient rin

Agree ako kay mxherr and bauer.

Usually based on the performances ng previous years mga  "around 50%" of what you have invested, not yet including fees & charges (depende, minsan around 50% net talaga including fees & charges) . For BDO lang yan h, hindi lahat ng uitf ng iba pang banks, depende kasi yun sa performance ng fund managers nila at kung saang equities nila yon ininvest pero hindi guarantee ang previous performance to future results (good results).

Ex. 100,000 - investment/principal

50,000 - gains/interest/return of investment (roi) > not yet including fees, charges, etc. (varying, if net)
                                                                              > take note this is just a rough estimate, but usually ganon ang roi ng bdo, kailangan mo lang ng timing kung kailan kaka-start lang mag-positive ang roi-ytd (year-to-date) don ka maginvest or kung mura pa ang price per unit ng isang equity at dapat e-pull-out mo na yon kung pa-negative na ang roi-ytd kasi malulugi ka na non. "Usually" 11,10,9 months or around 10 months lang positive ang isang uitf kaya be aware, kasi you might loose thousands of pesos kung mali timing mo.

> take note also na binase ko yung performance na yon for a 11-10 month positive performance ng BDO of the previous years, kasi ngayon mukhang 9 months lang positive ang roi-ytd kasi, hangang ngayong march ay negative pa rin, hopefully expected ko mga april mag-po-positive ang roi-ytd.

>the "less" months na positive ang roi-ytd the lesser the chance na kumita ka ng malaki for the year.

*other examples

10,000 - principal
5,000 - gains

500,000 - investment
250,000 - gains

I hope that helps.................... :watchuthink:

Any branch of bdo or bpi accepts or has trust services, so any branch will do. usually 10,000 lang ang pinaka minimum and bdo"equities" is 10,000 pesos lang, syempre the higher the investment the higher returns (50%), 10,000 rin yata bpi (not really 100% sure) sa" money market funds" usually 100,000 ang minimum pero katulad lang sya ng return ng bsp-sda mga less than 3%( a month) lang ang return nya.....

Post Merge: Mar 14, 2011, 04:09 PM
