  Expenses on wedding invitation cards is so expensive.  It takes thousands just for a certain message when in fact those who intends to participate will really participate whether there has that card or not.

It isn't really not necessary. Just send invitation cards to those who will be representing the Wedding such as the sponsors. The others, just inform them through text messages or better yet a call.

i think it's nice lang to have a proper invitation card especially to pinoys who comes to the event without invitation.. sabagay.. may mga pmupunta na wla naman sa invite. hehhe.

some invite nowadays naman pwede lectronically. and the card doesnt have to be expensive.

depende po. for us kasi, sa dami ng kamag anak ko on our side, kelangan piliin namin ang mga ppunta noon sa wedding namin. we agreed na 100 guests lang kami per side so we sent out invitations sa mga piling guests namin na hindi masyado techkie and then send personal emails (not sent as one email for ALL techkie guests para naman mas personal). that minimized surprise guests and ensure na within guest limits sa reception/ catering.

i guess ensure siguro na yung mga sponsors ay meron talagang invitation cards na maganda, why? so they feel important and ma-isip na malaki ang budget nyo sa wedding kaya kelangan bumawi sa gifts. it worked for us before. laki ng bigay nng mga sponsors. hehehe!

necessary ang invitation.  kadalasan kasi limited lang ang pwede umattend sa wedding diba.  meron ka man verbal invitation, hindi parin mawawala sa isip mo na baka pagdating mo sa reception ay hindi ka papasukin or pag usapan na " sino yun, invited ba siya? " 

yang wedding invitation kasi shows how especial your relatives and friends are.  lalo na if you invite them on your wedding.

It's not necessary na magbigay ng invitation sa mga taong gusto mong pumunta sa wedding mo. Mas maganda siguro kung mga Ninong/Ninang or mga Major Sponsors sa Wedding mo ang bigyan mo nalang ng invitations. Other than that, pwede ka nang mag invite thru FB, Twitter, etc.

invitations ok para sa mga sponsors, e-invites para sa mga close friends thru e-mail basta ilagay kung ilan nakareserve na seats para sa kanila.. or pwede rin ipaprint nila yun for counting of visitors purposes. isa-isahin yung e-invites thru fb messaging na lang.

or you can opt to DIY para makatipid...learn photoshop basics to edit your pictures and put on texts and voila! you can have it printed using your own printer or in a shop in way less than the amount kung sila pa ang nag layout ng invitation.I do most of my relative's wedding invitation..yun nga lang, sila na ang nagpapa-print, so far, positive reviews naman..hehe.
