thats what I want too plus customer satisfaction. syempre kung hindi ako nasarapan paano ko maibenta? you got to believe in your product.

nga pala! yung semilyahan namin eh in-charge yung ni-rentahan namin. may-aral talaga sya sa ganun. kaya nung nangyari yung nakabili kami na palpak na semilya yun na yung ginawa nila nung ka-partner ko; pero ngayon ako na lang may-ari.

Alin naman po ang less mortality rate.

If you have a fulltime job (like in my case im an ofw) and wouldnt want to be caught up in the intricacies of the trade, it would be helpful if you hire a trusted, experienced, and knowledgeable pond caretaker. But of course you must know the tricks of the trade and at least do your assignment by constantly updating or research if you have time.

As to which is the more profitable, based on experience it would be the prawn that yields the highest profit. The only downside is the prawn also yields the highest mortality rate. As a rule of thumb mortality rate of prawn should be only 1%/week or about 20-25%/harvest but sometimes umaabot hanggang 30-60% depending on many factors such as, weather, quality of prawnlets, food sufficiency, temperature of water, etc. These factors now will determine if you gain any profit from a particular harvest. Swertihan din minsan. As for the bangus and tilapia, mortality rate is relatively low as they are somewhat resistant to environmental stress. But sometimes fishkills do happen. Kaya nga the key is to have a very efficient caretaker and constantly update from him.

One more cardinal rule in this business is never, ever, say something bad about the products of your competitor, or saying something like "pangit yung quality nung kanila, maganda sa amin" without any substancial evidence, noo di dapat ganun (bad for business). Let the dealers/wholesalers/customers decide if your product is marketable or not. IMO They are in the best position to judge/evaluate your product based on the marketability and customers' preference and not YOU. Otherwise it would be bias of course.

Another advantage of having a pond/palaisdaan is that it is also a place for serene relaxation, away from all the stress, with the sounds of rumbling water, the tweeting of the birds, breeze of fresh unpolluted air, pwede laruan ng mga bata, pwede rin place of inuman. Best of all is to sleep all day in a hammock doing practically nothing. Ahh cant wait to go home na to visit my 'pond'.

yung rent lang ng pond ang per year (three to four times a year ang harvesting).....at hindi lang isang hectarya ang pond.......that estimate is for one hectare na size....usually every year pinakamababa na ang 200k na expenses...

maganda ang kita ng tiger prawns kaya lang medyo sensitive sila...pagtag ulan at may baha namamatay sila....pag di mo napalitan ang tubig namamatay din.....mas maganda ang crabs kac di masyado sensitive....basta regular lang ang feeding at pagpapalit ng tubig....gayundin ang milkfish---masyado nga lang limited ang kita mo rito kc di pwede masyado marami sa isang pons kac di lumalaki.....

profitability: mas malaki ang prawns, next ang bangus , tapos tilapia, last ang hito

mortality naman: madaling mamatay ang prawns, tapos bangus, mataas ang survival rate ng tilapia tapos usually nagmumultiply pa kac madaling manganak.....pero mas astig ang hito kac ang tagal mamatay kayamg mabuhay ng hanggang two weeks sa isang baldeng tubig....

Parseltounge, kumusta naman ang crabs? eto ba yung alimango? pano siste nito. Ok din ba in terms of profitability as compared to say bangus or tilapia? Sensya na im interested in crabs pero wala pa ako idea sa kanila.

Feedback ko lang is gumagapang daw ito palabas ng pond. Totoo ba?
