  • 1.) from my understanding, get started includes life insurance for the account holder. so pag namatay yung account holder, the beneficiaries will receive something.

2.) BPI and BPI Family are different banks. if you have a BPI family bank account, you cannot deposit via BPI lang and vice versa.

3.). if you want to open a BPI family account, dapat sa BPI family branch ka lang pumunta. same with BPI that if you want to open a BPI account, sa BPI branches ka lang pupunta. you're correct. mas madaming branches ang BPI.

4.) depende sa branch. although acceptable na ngayon ang one ID, many banks still require two IDs.

6.) yes, puwede magwithdraw anytime. 20K per day ang limit ng BPI ATMS.

7.) yes. http://www.bpiexpressonline.com/ is a great online facility. you can transfer funds, pay bills, etc.

For example, if meron na akong Get Started Savings Account tapos gusto kung mag-open ng BPi Direct Save-Up, pwede ba yun? It is treated as two separate accounts or just one under my name?

yes, i think puwede ka mag-open ng several accounts. yung BPI direct save-up, you can open up to 4 accounts ata.

  • ^parehong may insurance ang get started at direct save-up. i think ang kaibahan ng dalawa is that sa direct save-up, the money is automatically transferred from one BPI account to the save-up account.

for your family, baka better yung get started.

  • Thanks a lot leela.

So I think I'll go with BPI Get Started, not the BPI Family bec. of the limited branches.

  • yung sa BPI Direct Save Up sa pagkakaalam ko ay hindi pwede magwithdraw directly sa ATM machines, you need to make a fund transfer to an account (not a direct save up). same thing goes with deposits. yun pagkakaintindi ko sa sinabi nung kumuha ako ng save up,,, correct me if i am wrong,,, anyone connected with BPI who has better understanding on this one?

  • Medyo magulo tong BPI Direct saves up... meron bang policy na ibibigay si BPI direct when you enroll?

10X the salary ba yung BPI DIRECT save up? nakita ko sa website eh 10X pero nung nag clarify ako sa phone banker nila 5X lang raw? medyo magulo

  • @arnel, yes, tama ang intindi mo. save-up is an automatic fund transfer method from a regular BPI savings account (the kind that everybody has and comes with ATM) to a save-up account (online lang). when you open a save-up account, you will schedule a time and the amount that the bank will automatically transfer from your savings account to the save-up. ideal ito sa may mga payroll sa BPI para automatic ang saving mo.

if you need to get money from your save-up, you need to transfer the fund from the save-up account to your savings account. i have this save-up, earmarked for my retirement.

  • does anyone know why bpi family savings bank has a bit higher interest rates and lower maintaining balance on savings accts? does that mean the other one is more stable or something? i just want to understand why there's a difference. i transferred some of my funds from another bank to bpi but i had a bad experience opening up some funds with them and i'm planning to transfer to bpi family savings bank which is near where i live. thanks in advance.

:hihi:
