EUR / USD Technical View

The pair is in a corrective mode, trading by 1.2900.
However, the short-term risks are still on the upside, so we look for further gains towards
the 50-Day SMA by 1.3100. Breaking and consolidating above the 50-Day SMA would confirm
a shift in a medium-term structure and accelerate gains towards the 100-Day SMA by 1.3400.

However, while the pair trades below the 50-Day SMA, the medium-term risks are still on the
downside, so we look for a bearish reversal and a new attempt to reach the 1.2590 support,
with a break and consolidation below to confirm long-term declines towards the 1.1875 low.

Since the title is " Technical Analysis " we might as well post
subjects relevant to the title as well as updated analysis so
fellow traders can compare tech views, helping them to come
up with his/her own intelligent trade plan, trade better and
more profitable.

Actually there is a "child board" discussing specific currency pairs...fresh and updated insights are welcome and appreciated there...

Thanks for the info...

With the information and comments that i have been reading here, seems that
there is a community of long time and experienced currency traders in the
Philippines that can give very good advice and direction for a sound and
profitable trade, considering their experiences on the market and their portfolio
on the said trading instruments.

^Hi. Expert advisors (aka bots) are programs that you install on your MT4 platform to do the trading for you based on systems/strategies that you think would give profitable results.

Punta ka sa Forex Factory, do a search for EAs. There are lots of them that you can download for free.

You can also try the EA thread in the forex folder at Elite Trader. Forex TSD would be another source.

Demo mo muna. Most of them incur large drawdowns, plus your computer must always be on for them to work (unless you have VPS). I've never used an EA, btw.

^I've tried Ichimoku before but I've never used Renko bars. Looks to me like they're perfect for counting waves. I wonder why MT4 doesn't include it as a default like Heiken-ashi candles?

Does anyone have a Strategy about applying hedge in trade instead of stoploss? medyo di ko pa kabisado ganitong approach at nabasa ko lang sa mga comments ng ibang group. i'm thinking how it could help trades win or break even if the trend goes on reverse.

^Hi, LW. I suggest searching for McPip's thread where, if memory serves, he described his hedging strategy. Personally, I'm trying to discipline myself away from hedging and to just admit I can be wrong -- and take my losses gracefully...
