Ok naman ang Manulife, conservative sila sa mga placements (for VUL). I recently got their Eve Plan. For me 2 sila ng Sunlife na ok based on personal and friends' experience.

iba-iba yung pension nila, eh. sa akin, i pay P4600 quarterly for 10 years. on the 15th year, i get 300K. nakalimutan ko na kung ano pangalan nung product na yun. puwede kitang irefer sa agent ko. :hihi:

have you computed the average yearly growth of this?  i tried this once on a local pension plan and got only an average of 8% per annum.. so i don't know if its worth it.

but if i based it simply on your data, and assuming you pay all the payments in cash in the same year.. that is 184,000, which will become 300k after 15 years..  a 90% growth in 15 years.. its quite small

i don't know how to compute it. but somebody from PMT din said it's about 6% annually. pano ba magcompute ng ganito?

:book:

take note, sa mga VUL, nakalagay diyan "not guaranteed" ang dividends...

cheers... :cool2:

^oo nga naman, workoshore. pag single pay, madaling magcompute.  :hihi:

ang hirap naman kung accountants lang ang nakakaalam kung paano yung computation. sabagay, kaya sila binabayaran ng malaki. pero paano naman ang mga ordinaryong taong gaya ko? :D

I have my life insurance sa manulife na pension na din if ever di ako mamatay. I got the fasttrac na 5 years to pay. I guess they have discontinued offering na din as far as my agent is concern. Sabi nya na meet na daw ang quota BUT the product is so popular daw. Its a good sign for me since kahit na ok as long as within the plan then they can resist yung temptation at di nagpapadala sa greed. Anyway who knows diba

^Parang ganon nga ang style ng ManuLife,,,they always look at how the market is moving...meron din ko dalawang ala-pension plans, pero di na ino-offer ngayon sabi noong agent namin,,,meron na ulit sila bagong product... :applause:

cheers... :cool2:

I also have an insurance with Manulife and I can say it is a stable company. More than that, I work at Manulife Financial as part of there MFC GIM under Market Risk Management. As far as I know, the collapsed of AIG made Manulife Financial the #1 insurance company in North America and #4 in the world based on market capitalization.

Pre-need unit still strong
BusinessWorld
Vol. XXII, No. 187
Monday, April 27, 2009 | MANILA, PHILIPPINES

MANULIFE FINANCIAL Plans, Inc. has joined the list of pre-need companies that declared themselves willing and able to continue despite financial difficulties plaguing the industry. In an e-mail sent to BusinessWorld, Manulife Financial Plans President Carl Steven Gustini echoed the line of several pre-need firms that availing of the Securities and Exchange Commission's capital and trust fund buildup plan would no longer be necessary as their finances are healthy.

"Manulife Financial Plans did not submit a plan for the SEC's multi-year funding scheme because there was no need to apply for one as it has a strong balance sheet,"

Mr. Gustini said. As of Dec. 31, Manulife Financial Plans, the pre-need unit of listed financial service firm Manulife Financial Corp., has a total shareholder equity worth P 358 million.

freedomfighter, i really appreciate your fairness. You're from Sunlife but you post positive info about Manulife as well. Very balanced and well-meaning ka talaga.

If you're the example of the ethics practised by your company, e baka tuluyan ko na nga yung mga products na ino-offer ng Sunlife agent dito sa amin.

Salamat talaga, sir! :D

Thank you too hsmomma for that compliment. :hello: I am just compelled to tell the truth that Manulife is really a good and highly ethical company.

yup... try nyo rin po si Sun Life for diversification so as to enjoy the benefits of having the services of both these two financial giants.  :D

^  Hindi ko po matandaan kung saan ko nabasa, but they say Manulife got AAA rating from Standard and Poor despite the economic downturn that hit the world last quarter of 2008.

Btw, I'm not sure po pala kung eto po bang Standard and Poor ang sinasabi nyo na 3rd party audit/agency?

Sa mga nakakaalam ano ba talaga ang ginagawa ng Standard and Poor?
