pero gusto kong malaman kung advisable bang maginvest regularyl regardless of whether mababa o mataas ang NAVS? yung agent kasi ng philamfund sabi mas ok kung maglumpsum habang mababa kesa magpeso cost averaging. how about you guys...what are your investing styles? :-)

;) But, personally I like cost averaging to keep the discipline of investing. :harhar:

Kelangan ba talaga everyday? :)
Been topping up on my MFs monthly for many years now and during quarterly review ko lan nasisilip ang NAVPS..

:hihi:

pero tingin nyo, what is the ideal amount of money that we should put in an mf? i know it depends on a person's needs pero kung kayo ang tatanungin...how much and how many percent of a person's cash savings should be invested in an mf? thanks so much!

Wala akong idea how much ideally pero sa ngayon atleast 10% ng income ko ay hinati ko between equity and balanced funds.  :D

Pinipilit kong timing-an. Biruin mo you'll be doing this for the long term. :D

Better talk to an agent para ma-explain sayo how mutual fund works.

:)  By the way, OT question, what do you mean palang wedding supplier nyo? May business ka ba related to weddings?

Basta every month nagse-set ako ng particular amount to invest in my MF. Diversify your portfolio ika nga nila. I always see to it na nakakapag-additional ako every month.

Actually ang plano ko talagang lagyan regularly is Equity and Fixed Income. Mas ok kase for me kung isang aggressive type at isang conservative.

And also, i-consider mo din kung kelan mo ba kakailanganin yung pera. Like kung mga 2 yrs from now gagamitin mo na yung pera, then sa Fixed Income or Bonds ka maglagay regularly. Take note though that all of these are just my views and opinions on how I manage and diversify my portfolio. Different person may vary depending on his/her risk appetite. :)

Hi guys, first time to post here. This year I decided to really REALLY be more responsible with my finances. Thankfully I've saved enough emergency funds so I can finally start investing more. Hinahayaan ko lang talaga, which is not good hehe, but buti nalang kumita na naman yung capital ko. Anyway I'm planning to get another MF, this time pure equity sana. Can you suggest kung ano mas ok, FAMI or PhilEquity? Mas ok in terms of fund performance, and in terms of gaano kadali or kabilis mag top up, at magredeem ng funds. I don't need to touch the fund within 5 years naman, but just in case kelangan ko lang magredeem. Thank you guys! :)

I'd go with FAMI out of the 3 kung performance lang pag uusapan

I invested in Philequity and so far ok naman, maganda ang returns para s akin, di ko lang maramdaman talaga yun kita kasi sa ngayon napupunta lang s 3.25% n fee, meron din sila statement pinapadala s email every end of the month. Sobrang convenient din yun payment/deposit option kasi pwede s mga ebiz/western union, you can check their website too for your reference. Hope this helps.

kithe- just received notice for the annual stockholders meeting. Tinatamad ako himayin yung proposal na ibaba ang par value ng bond fund from Php 1.00 to Php 00.10 (?). What possible advantages/disadvantages would that bring?

Hi, freefront..

Advantage of the proposal na ibaba ang par value ng bond fund from 1 to 0.10 ay para less cost of taxes both for the company and stockholders...

Wala naman daw disadvantages sa mga stockholder..

Actually, bond fund na lang ang di pa naibaba, both equity fund and balanced fund are reduce na ang par value..

Really? That means the taxes paid by the fund is somehow related
to the par value?

If that's the case, why don't all mutual fund start at 0.1?

Also, I thought changing the par value would also change the
NAV and your number of shares? Parang stock split pero mukhang
hindi kasi ang NAV ng equity is still the same...?
