hello_po, sa portfolio page, meron silang statement of account, notice of transaction and transaction records na pwede mo i-print kung gusto mo, i think these are sufficient to prove that you are a client in case something happens.

i posted wrong order (i overlook the price) before 915am...
and it seem i can cancelled it at 9:15 -930am..
and when i cancelled it at 931am, it already matched an order.. :(
is there a way to cancel it between 9:15am and 9:30am??

AFAIK you cannot cancel the order if you placed it before the trading actually start..if your buying conviction on a certain stock is weak and not confident..it's better to not enter any orders..

if you are 50/50..buy a small portion only..so if it goes up or down..you can either buy up or exit with small losses

Call COL and ask for a person will be accountable to you about the packet you sent. AFAIK, you need a name to harass :D

I did that with FAMI. "Who is in charge of my neck of the woods? I need a name to call if I have queries."

Crediting of deposits is automated based on the client’s COL account number (subscriber number), but this will be delayed if facilitated thru regular deposit transactions both for over-the-counter and online fund transfers.  This is because bank statements reflect regular deposits as amount only with no references to the depositor.  Thus, we encourage you to facilitate the fund transfer via BDO’s Merchant Payment facility instead.  These are the following information that you will need to provide the bank for the transfer thru BDO:

You can fund your account through merchant payment, its more easy and fast.just request a form from the teller.

please see the sample:

You will have to fill-in the payment slip with the following information for the fund transfer thru BDO:

    Merchant/Company Name: CitisecOnline
Reference/Subscriber’s Account No.: (your 8-digit COL account no.)
Planholder/Subscriber’s Name: (your COL account name)

Note: Subscriber’s account no. on sample payment slip is for illustrative purposes only; do not copy!

Hello!

I just opened an account with CitisecOnline last June 2011 and I have a lot that I need to learn. I hope you can give advice. I am on EIP and plan to be on stocks for the long haul. I will use this for my retirement fund. I am able to save P4000 each month to buy stocks. So far, I have bought JFC, ALI, BPI, and TEL. Here is my budget for my stock picks:

STOCK  CASH VALUE   PERIOD              START DATE
BPI        1,200             Monthly              10/15/2011
TEL       12,500            Semi-Annually      9/30/2011
ALI        1,600              Monthly              8/15/2011
*JFC      1,000              Monthly              7/15/2011

*For TEL, since it is so expensive, I will only be able to buy perhaps twice a year if I have extra investible money.

My questions are:

1. How do you PROPERLY do Peso Cost Averaging (PCA)? If you buy the same number of stocks at different prices each month, is that still PCA? Because here is what I have been doing so far:

For JFC, I have 30 shares in total. I bought 10 shares each month starting July 2011.

#   Order Date   StkCode   # of Shares   Price   Trx Type
3   9/20/2011  10:15:35   JFC   10   88.3000   BN
6   8/15/2011  09:49:51   JFC   10   86.9000   BN
7   7/18/2011  09:54:57   JFC   10   88.6000   BN

As of September  26, 2011 Sunday
Stock-MarketPrice-Ave. Price-TotalShares-EIPShares-UncommittedShares-Gain/Loss-%Gain-Loss-Trade Value
JFC      83.5000        90.1863   30            30                    30              -200.59       -7.41%        2,505.00

The way I understand PCA, you have a set budget for each stock that you regularly invest. You are able to buy more shares when the price is low, and less shares when the price is high. In my case, since I only allot P1000 for JFC, at the current price, it can only buy me 10 shares each time. Do you think I should just buy one stock every quarter instead? Would I be able to maximize PCA better that way?

Thank you so much.

@ prettywoman,

AFAIK, PCA you should buy stock with equal amount of money not equal number of stocks, I also think you will be better off buying stocks every quarter or half maybe, imagine youre being charged the min of P20 commission charge every transaction, its P60 in a quarter if you only have 30 stocks by then you have to realized a 2 pesos gain per stock just to break even on COL charge alone. I think its P8000 and below you will be charge with min P20 commission. So if I am in your shoes, I will only buy if i have a P8000 or more.

you said your alloting 4000 per month then by ever other month instead. just cycle the stocks that your buying. this way you optimize the commission charge.

Im in you shoes a couple of months ago. I open a COL account, acquire BDO uitf. But the market is down this pas week, mas maganda magenter ngaun on both stocks and uitf, but a big "but" hindi pa natin alam kung hanggan saan yung ibabagasak ng market. Sabi nga nila we cant say as of now ano magging bottom. But if youre really determined to invest in stocks and uitf, open ka na lang muna ng account sa COL or any other pwede mo naman park muna yung initial money mo (25k for COL). Depende na sau pano diskarte mo. But its a good entry for UITF today. or wait what will be the market reaction tommorow
