Hi, may tanong po ako re COL.

If we set our monthly amount at P5000, and we wanted to buy JFC, may konting problema ata?

Kasi the board lot is 100 shares, and the price is around P45, you will be limited to buying 100 shares ALWAYS, if the price range stays within P26 to P99??

Same with BPI?

I've been contemplating on using COL's EIP. Just want to ask your opinion if this is really effective?

Their top picks are the following: Ayala Land, BPI, JFC, SMPH, TEL

Which company would you recommend starting with right now?

Nobody here asked if you pay extra for the that extra service? If Firstmetro charges .25% per trade, magkano sa citisec? Me additional fee yung EIP feature?

Di ba may full brokerage account ang citisec? Tsaka meron din for "shorting"?

Hi! Just want to relive this thread again. I found it very interesting and like most of you, I'm also a newbie when it comes to investing but let me share my experience with EIP from COL.

Just started my Easy Investment Plan 4 months ago. Maybe late because of my age right now. Im 32 but nonetheless, I started. And this is the hardest part, when will you start but when you get started, it will just be fine.

I got convince to open and sign up for EIP because of some advise I got from others. Big influence is the Truly Rich Club by Bo Sanchez. If you want to know more about it, you can go to: www.trulyrichclub.com. He mentioned there that he is teaching his Maids to Invest in Stock Market and if he can teach his maids on how to invest, then, he can teach all of us Investing using layman's term. Sound convincing? Yeah, because I got convinced.

Maybe some of you already knows this and may have read his book about this.

Being a Truly Rich Club Member, I did make a decision of my life to start investing my future through Stock Market. Right now, I am not seeing any changes yet on my stocks because I just got started. But during that 4 months of Investing, I got already a dividend from SMPH, which someone mentioned here that this is just a perk of investing.

. Right now, I make sure that I fund my account no matter how small so that I can but stocks on my scheduled date. This is how the EIP works. You fund your account with your extra money on your EIP account, not necessarily 5k. 5k is the initial deposit for your EIP and after that, you can deposit any amount that you want.

Hi, I want to revive this thread again rather than making a new thread

with regards to COL EIP
kasi balak kong maginvest monthly ng Php1,500 for five years and then i will change to a regular COL account

sabi naman kasi pwede any investment amount
balak ko I will be buying DMCI or EDC nadag-dag na ito sa mga recommended companies ng COL

tanong ko lang if ok ba ang 1,500 monthly or kulang pa yun?
papalitan ko naman siya to COL regular account after 5 years eh

for 1.5k monthly, i suggest you buy every three months.

You could buy every other month or every 3 mos.

Why do you need to change to regular account after 5yrs? There is actually no difference pagdating sa paggamit ng COL whether EIP or Regular - yun initial amount lang ang difference nila.

According to their Online Securities Trading Agreement:

TRADING FEES
In consideration of the foregoing, I/we hereby agree to pay COL the following:
4.1 Commission at the rate of 1/4 of 1% of the amount purchased or sold via the internet. For buy or sell orders executed through a broker over the phone, the commission rate shall be 1/2 of 1%. In no case, however, shall the commission be less than the amount of PhP20.00 per executed order. I/We acknowledge that the commission rate is set solely by COL and I/we agree that COL may change the commission structure at any time upon reasonable notice given;
4.2    Transfer or settlement fees;
4.3    Depository or custodianship fees;
4.4    Transaction fees;
4.5    Documentary stamps tax and stock transaction tax;
4.6    VAT on commission, and other levies and duties thereon.
