Hi donya_buding,

I'm also new to forex, just started live trading this is my 2nd week but been using demo for 1 year na. I used Oanda as my broker dahil maliit lang ang spread nila sa Eur/usd which is 0.9 pips. So far wala naman ako problem sa kanila at OK ang live support nila.

I just can't recall kung ano minimum deposit nila. Kung gusto mo lang ma-try kung OK ang forex, use their demo account, wala syang time limit unlike others na 1 month lang binibigay at parehong-pareho nag live at demo nila.

Pag OK ka na sa demo saka ka lang mag live.

hi sir ebo_bro...thanks for the advise...i'll try yung demo account nila and let's see what will happen...

one question though, how much was your initial investment when you go "live" in forex trading para i can make some preparations on how much do i really need to put into my oanda account????

thanks po super sa patience sa pagsagot sa tanong ng isang newbie na kagaya ko...

I started with $1,235 some started with $200. There is no minimum deposit pala sa Oanda pero you have to consider the fees in funding your account and when withdrawing it(see http://www.pinoymoneytalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=28457.15 "how to fund Oanda" thread).

Ask ka lang kung may tanong ka.

...

ok yung sabi ni ebo_bro, mag Oanda ka.
pero matanong muna kita, gano katagal ka nagresearch sa babypips, forexfactory and piphut?
it doesnt take months. it takes years of reading and practice. balewala ang binasa mo kung wala kang masyadong experience.

ipagpaliban mo muna ang pag open ng live account. i think this is a very good advice para sa mga Pinoys dahil bihira satin ang maykaya/mayaman at marunong sa negosyo &/or mataas ang financial literacy.
try mo maging consistently profitable for 6 - 12 months bago ka mag live trading.

:hihi:

good advice, @ferrari.

in fact, even if you had months of successful demo trading, then jump into live, the market will still teach a lot of lessons.

one of the most important lesson: the psychology between trading fake money and real money is going to be oceans apart. it WILL become stressful when you go live. so when you hear, "be patient... reflect on yourself...", don't take those as just sweet stuff. they're really really the essentials.

hello..  badly need your help specially sa experts. I've been trading forex for 3 years already. It's just so happen na yung live account ko to ODL has been acquired by FXCM. From experience, FXCM is a notoriously bad broker.  So now that I've found my new broker... I can't seem to fund my account. I went to BPI family and they seem to not know what to do... saying something like to transfer to another branch because of a lot of reasons. Before I use GE money bank for bank wiring from Philippines to brokers without any hassle but it has been acquired by Banco de Oro.

So... the question is what bank that allows bank wiring from a personal bank account to my IBFX broker?

Really appreciate your reply since I badly badly need to fund my account already.

im currently reading the babypips site to at least gain some info with regard to forex trading. medyo info overload na kaya rest muna. question lang sa mga medyo may experience na, can you honestly get rich trading forex? i mean honestly?

forex seems, from what i hear hard as hell, and with very small returns.

i dont wanna sound rude or bullish in a way but i don't want to waste my time learning it if it's not worth it.  :bahalaka:

is it possible to earn at least a thousand pesos a day consistently? if it is, how long does it take for a trader to earn that amount and how much money does he need to invest to his broker to at least make the said amount?

btw, is it necessary to learn the candlestick trading? sumakit ulo ko dun  :D

which do you think is a much better approach? demo then read bypips, demo and read babypips or read the whole babypips then demo? what demo site do you recommend?

thanks

Yes its very possible. How long? well it depends really to the person. Just like in school there are those who excel and there are those who don't but if they keep at it they all graduate in due time. Its only a matter of time.

Its better to read up first babypips to have a basic foundation of trading. And my tip if you ever want to pursue trading is whatever system you choose in your trading its important to be consistent. Consistency above all else. And for starters trade higher Timeframes such as H1 and above the higher the better because analysis becomes very easy and trading is less stressful.

while reading some post I've seen some people using automated systems instead of manual, w/c do you guys think is more preferable? I'm leaning towards trying automated because, it could run on its own like a no-brainer bot? that just puts money in your pocket?

I prefer manual trading. I have a strategy, I analyze my charts, set my pending orders then close terminal, check back later and see if TP or SL is hit. That's it. Stress-free trading, 1-5 minutes analysis then I'm off to take a nap.

Sure, it's nice to have an automated system so that it's less stressful and time-consuming. But be careful of those automated EA's or trade-bots that promise easy instant money because 99% of the time, those are scams. I'm still trying to learn the basics too and I'm reading about the different kinds of indicators on the BabyPips.com School (http://www.babypips.com/school) then I'll come up with my own trade system. Of course backtesting this system would help so that I can tweak the setting of the indicators to improve profitability.

I went thru the entire Babypips school first before doing demo trading. That way, I know the basics about all the indicators and formations and it was easier for me to apply everything while demo-trading.
