pagkakaalala ko Sir, sa oanda.com ako nag open ng account. parang may restriction dati sa SG branch.

kung pwede kayo mag open sa SG branch, mas convenient yun. yung latter kasi ay US branch.

Some people (me included) think forward-testing is better than back-testing.

Why not ask at either "forex factory" or "forex-tsd?"

A letter from SRDC Philippines:
SRDC takes pride in providing awareness to the public about the real cause of price movements in financial markets
and technical charting analysis at no charge.
As a testament to SRDC technical charting, our basic strategies are provided via www.srdcglobal.com and
through the free seminars held periodically for public use.

For those who would like to enroll in our full program, we would be glad to teach you.
We have an amazing support group that will help you through your trading career.

SRDC instructors from all over the world, weekly review classes and market updates with fellow traders as well as
access to the online resources are provided for you without extra charge for life.

We're entirely committed to helping you invest sustainably. We don't issue out certificates.
We believe that the best certificate are your wins and your ROI and that's what really counts.
We believe that 20 consecutive wins can be achieved by anyone, and we're proving that with each
and every SRDC trader.
We are not just a school. We are a community of traders investing our own money using, in our opinion, the
most effective, efficient and most sustainable way to trade. We are not affiliated to any brokers nor do we plan to.
We make money with trading and intend to keep it that way.

For those who would just like to know more about investing and basic trading, we're glad to help you with any information
It is in our opinion that the information and strategies given during the basic seminars match or even surpass
the information in paid seminars. (The basic SRDC strategy, for example can be an effective strategy 60-70% of the time on its own)

It is in our belief that sustainable trading needs to be developed over time, something that can't be fully taught in one
day or even a weekend, which is why we're giving these seminars for free. It's something you can begin to take home
and try out to see for yourself.

They say that if you believe in something, you'll give it out for free, and that's what we're doing.

What's important to us is that you know what you're getting into before you dive in. We're here to help out anyone
who cares to listen. Because after all, nobody cares about your money than you do.

And that is our honest opinion.

Sincerely,
SRDC Philippines

^ pwede po pang long term or short term, Sir.
pwede ring mid-term o pre-term or post-term  :hihi:

yung ibang brokers may commission. yung iba spread or mark up lang. yung iba commission + spread.
Yung Oanda spread lang.

Welcome!

Indeed, I agree with your definition with forex. Forex is really colorful especially during major economic news ^_^.  It’s the largest derivative and the most liquid market in the world.  Its players are central banks, institutional investors, governments, retail investors, and currency speculators. As of April 2010, its daily turnover reached to nearly $4 trillion and it’s increasing year after year.

If you have extra time, try to read useful information on the internet. You can find variety of websites and forums like PMT that will give you good insights. Learning forex is tough but nothing on this earth that you can’t learn, agree? Remember, we all start as a beginner, embrace courage and don’t be scared or regret with mistakes as it will lead to learning.

With regards from fees, If you are going to open an account and trade with Brokers/IB’s they charge commission from $1 to $xx.xx.  I strongly suggest, open an account directly from the market maker (trust capital, icm brokers, oanda, mig, and etc…) as no commission to be charged. However, you should read and understand everything before trading with some market maker.  You can actually trade long term but you should know your objectives, what type of trader you are, and etc… I know someone trading weeks, leaving his open positions for months.   If you have more questions don’t be shy to post them here as members of this forum are happy to answer all of them. Right fellow traders? ^_^

Again, welcome and we (members) hope that you will learn everything you want in trading. ^_^

From wikipedia:

Forward testing is also known as Walk forward testing. It is the simulation of real markets data on paper only. You are not actually putting in real money, but doing virtual trading in live markets to understand the movements of markets better. Hence, it is also called Paper Trading. Forward performance testing is a simulation of actual trading and involves following the system's logic in a live market.
