I am also a member of PAFCFIC, although di masyadong active.

Just like Dutch_Boy said, it is operating as a cooperative and abide by the rules and regulation set by CDA. Majority of their members are Army personnels because it was formed with the intention to help and cater the financial need of the Philippine Army soldiers.

@Dutch_Boy, can you confirm that AFPSLAI has set the limit of dividend to 4% per qttr? If this is the case bakit tinawag pang dividend kung fixed ang rate? Dapat interest na tawag dyan. I thought dividend are based on the Associations income and should rise or fall depends on its quarterly retained earnings. Mas maganda na pala ang PAFCFIC nyan because dividend is not fixed, tumataas sya at bumababa, pero nag aaverage sya from 16% to 20% noon. And from what I saw last time mapadaan ako sa Office nila they are getting bigger and better.

@Scout..sir from what I could recall all loans and savings association were mandated/instructed by BSP to limits the dividends payout to it's members. I think this was mandated by BSP two years back pa..and inuunti unti lang ang pagbabawas ng mga Savings n Loan Association.

guys,
kung gusto nyo meron katulad ang afpslai sa camp crame.PSSLAI para sa police naman.250k pa deposit per quarter sa capcon at 5 percent pa per quarter ang dividend.sobra na kasi ang investor sa AFPSLAI kaya binabaan na nila yung max deposit per quarter pero sa PSSLAI konti palang kaya medyo malaki pa.so lahat rin ng sistema ng AFPLAI ginaya nila.like yung loan mo binabawas na sa sweldo mo every month.kaya mukang secure rin.

Andaya nga na ibang banko pinetisyon yung bangko central para ibaba ng AFPSLAI yung rates. Dati as high as 25% per annum ngayon pumapatak na almost 17% na lang.. Saka me rule yan na for every quarter period me 3 days ka lang pwedeng magwithdraw or magdeposit or else babalik yung rates na katulad sa mga regular na bangko. Kaya sa 3 days na yun maraming tao palagi mula umaga hanggang closing sa mga branch nila.

..That's what the people in various AFP Savings and Loan Assoc. were told or mandated by BSP. Now how come the BSP is restricting those instution and other RURAL Banks are not?...to think mas okei pa nga sa mga Rural bank dahil me PDIC sa AFPSLAI and others ur Money purely on hope that it will not go UNDER.

Arvin, meron ba akong possibility to be a member or even an associate member of the AFPSLAI. I am an ex-cadet of PMA and a son of a Philippine Marines. But sad to say that my father died in an accident not on the battle field. If ever got the chance to be a member, what is the requirements for me to open an account. Thanks.

Anak din ako ng sundalo kaya nakapagbukas ako ng AFPSLAI (college ako noon, talagang kinulit ko daddy ko na buksan ako ng account!) pero paano ba sumali sa PAFCFIC? Tapat lang siya halos ng AFPSLAI malapit sa amin, pwede ba dependents din sumali? Or military personnel lang? Kasi kung ang huli, ay pipilitin ko dad ko na sumali.

Kelan magiging effective ang 15% per annum ng AFPSLAI? Basta nagdeposit na lang ako, di ko alam exactly how big ang interest basta alam ko lang better than banks -- pero pag inupdate ang passbook, nagugulat na lang ako ang laki ng tubo!

Nako, antagal ko nang di pinapansin yang account kong yan, makadeposit nga uli. Salamat!

I just got off Skype with my dad and completely forgot to bring it up! I'm overseas now kasi kaya nakalimutan ko na magimpok sa AFPSLAI, pero ang PAFCFIC and AMWSLAI, sige papacheck ko sa kapatid ko. Parang iffy ako sa huli though kasi magulo pa kung sino ang magiging management? (Dapat ba sa Villamor, kasi alam ko meron din AMWSLAI kahilera ng AFPSLAI sa Bayani road...Bukas pa ba yun?)

Magkano ang minimum para maging associate member ng PAFCFIC?

Actually panatag naman ako sa AFPSLAI. Pag nanggaling ka nga naman sa dalawang henerasyon ng military officers (my late grandfather is also one) living proof naman siguro yun ng seguridad ng institusyon. Yung lola ko nakakatanggap pa rin ng pensyon from AFPSLAI

Can anyone help me?

Galing akong AFPSLAI today. Pinapasikaso ng nanay ko yung accounts ng dad ko who died just this February. Parang na -culture shock ata ako since wala talaga akong alam kung anong dapat kong gawin. anyway, yung "customer service" directed me to the counter that terminates the accounts. syempre hindi ko lam na magkaiba na account pala yung pension at savings(capital contribution).

anyway, the people were talking to me in jargons and terms na hindi ko maintindihan. like , "kunin nyo ito sa OTAG." i had to figure that out for myself since umiinit na ulo nila sa kin dahil tanong ako ng tanong

anyway i have 2 major questions lang:

1. talaga bang tineterminate yung account? even the pension account? i remember my dad telling me pag namatay na sya may makkuha pa rin mom ko. but when i asked them sabi ko:" hindi po ba mattransfer yan sa nanay ko?" sabi nila hindi daw, tineterminate daw.

2. dormant na yung capital savings (yung green passbook) nag US kasi parents ko 2 years ago and apparently hindi na naasikaso. pwede ba pa ba kong mag apply for associate member?

mas important actually yung question 1, kasi worried ako for my mom. my dad's death was unexpected and he was meaning to fix all these this year sana. any help will be appreciated. i just need direction. i feel like i'm swimming blind here. sa totoo lang hindi talaga helpful yung mga info desks kasi magkaiba sila ng mga sinasabi. anyone who knows an AFPSLAI employee?
