@ leela & wintan,
i called plantersbank and they said na mali daw yung 7% sa inquirer. that offer ended last feb pa daw. yung 5yr is only 6.25%, monthly interest out. yung 1yr term naman is 5.75%... still better than other commercial or thirft bank offer

^sa tingin ko either bababa pa sya or will stay the same.it will take years bago aakyat uli ang interest rates unless mag inflation uli Grin. One thing you can do is park your money in 1 year TDs while waiting for the interest to shoot up again or park it in BDO peso money market fund,no fees yan.you can widthraw anytime even a day after you have placed with them.it's  earning me 4 to 4.5% per annum better than savings deposits so pag may magandang product na lumabas like corporate bonds giving higher interest ,i have available cash to invest.suggestion lang po.

Hi! I'm a newbie in this forum. I'd like to ask your suggestions on which bank should I put my 200K as time deposit for a 30-day or 60-day period? Yung magandang interest rates saka formidable institution talaga. Need some help naman oh...  Help

Avoid local banks for the moment - walang kasiguraduhan na makukuha mo pera mo kung biglang magsara sila.

sayang hindi ako nakahabol dyan. but ill still place some since ok pa rin rate nila & mababa lang ang minimum deposit.

for me it's a good sign they are lowering their interest rate for deposits. it only means they now have sufficient liquid funds. expect them to bring down the rate more going to the 3rd quarter of this year.
