The next William Hung?
Filipino-American Renaldo Lapuz is now taking the world by storm following his performance on the TV show American Idol Season 7 where he amused judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson with his “We’re Brothers Forever” song.
Watch a YouTube video of his performance and other funny American Idol auditions here.
Lapuz’s song goes (sing with me, my brother!):
Lyrics – We’re Brothers Forever
I am your brother
Your best friend forever
Singing the songs
The music that you love
We’re brothers ’til the end of time
Together or not
You’re always in my heart
You hurt your feelings
And you will rain no more (?)
(I love you brother)

wow, you trying to be sarcastic (according to your words). that’s still not enough. you should a little harder. but don’t try too hard so you don’t look like a fool.
and speaking of free speach. yes, we have a free speach, and don’t i have one too? try swallowing your own words.
a lot of you bloggers are into negative things. you don’t see the bright path. and i can see you’re one of them. And try licking your own ass, that might be the best medicine.

Oy, buti bumalik pa ko ulit d2…
kung hindi di ko na nabasa to…
sorry po talaga sa mga nasabi ko…
Ung comment ko na yun ay parang spur of the moment lng, kase talaga nung dumating siya na may kapa pa tapos malaking sumbrero na may nakasulat pa Simon. At kung ano anong Fur. Kahit ung tatlong judge eh natatawa eh. ITalagang yun yung mararamdaman mo. (At First) Pati sa website ng AI eh nasama na siya sa Bad Dallas Auditions.
I know he’s still pinoy so we should (I am) proud of him, anyway.
2.kaya po scandal ung nakalagay sa blog ko eh,
this is a project of macuha.com we’re aiming to erase all the porn site who is enjoying the top spot on SERPS on the most popular keyword on google trends (Philippines) which is “pinay scandal” which has a good cause naman kase ung mga original na porn site whose making big bucks out of it will be kick out of SERPS.
and i think we are winning. try to search for that keyword.
3.at yung irereport niyo po aq sa RIAA eh that’s too exaggerated naman po in my opinion, why me only 17 blog post lang ang may download links sa blog ko.Sobra naman.
4. Di nmn po aq ganun katanda (18 aq)di nmn po ako nghahanap ng away d2. Hindi rin po aq naghahanap ng kakampi.
Thanks po! Peace! Remember, We’re Brothers Forever!

Good to know that Julia. I know you’re not like other people who don’t learn from their mistakes. You’re still too young and have many things to learn.
I am glad you don’t take it as a destructive comment.
More power to you.

The popularity of this song lies in this irony: the funny circumstances of its birth belies a serious message that pulls on the heartstrings. Its message of brotherhood and peace comes at a time when war and conflict separates humanity. This song is like a thumb-on-the-nose on war and its utter childishness. But the funny thing is, instead of laughing, I actually cry when I hear the song, especially the ballad versions. Ironic, isn’t it? This should be made the world’s anthem. Let’s spread the tune for its sheer message.
NOTE ON THE TROUBLESOME 9th LINE:
Actually, there are several versions on the internet. Among those that make the most sense and are most poetic are: “Your hurting feelings will reign no more;” “You hurt your feelings and you’ll be hurting mine,” and “You hurt your feelings and you will rain on mine.” Take your pick. Personally, I prefer the second one. How about you?

why be ashamed of a fellow Filipino. He did what he thinks is fun for him. And we thank him for a good laugh. Part of media is entertainment, and that is what he is simply doing.
