I know, it’s a spammer. Out of curiosity, though, I still decided to visit the site just to see if there really was a leaked copy of the upcoming Twilight sequel, New Moon.

Marikina City, Philippines — Provident Village is unfortunately now becoming famous for being one of the hardest-hit areas in Metro Manila by Typhoon Ondoy.

You’ve probably seen that moving video of a woman on the roof of her car during the flood in UERM, Sta. Mesa Manila (see video here).
Less-talked about, however, is the man on the same video hanging onto a coconut tree while the cars around him swirl and get drowned.
And there’s one gripping photo of what seems to be a dead body of a woman in Marikina still lying on the street a day after the typhoon hit their area.
These are just some of the unfortunate stories brought by Typhoon Ondoy which devastated parts of Metro Manila, particularly, Marikina, Pasig, and Rizal.

Manila, Philippines — Tropical storm Ondoy (International Name: Ketsana) hit Luzon and parts of Metro Manila on Saturday, September 26 and brought flood, jammed traffic, landslides, and deaths.
Waist-deep flood waters caused cars to stall in the middle of highways. People walked due to lack of public transport and impassable traffic. Residents were forced to stay on the rooftops of their houses due to submerged first- or second-floors. The National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) reported 240 deaths as of Tuesday, September 29. Many more are missing.

Another bank bites the dust.
Following the recent closures of rural banks in the Philippines particularly that of the Legacy Group, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Philippines) on September 17 again placed one rural bank under receivership.
Effective September 18, the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. (PDIC) will take over The Philippine Farmer’s Bank.

Here are pictures of Hermes Bautista, housemate of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Double Up edition.
Though born in the US, Hermes is pure Pinoy. He was born to Filipino parents and moved back to Manila at the age of 2. He stayed with his mom, as his dad was based abroad. He went to the States only for occasional visits to his father, who was then working for a US-based electronics company. Later on, he discovered that they were his dad’s second family. Yet, he bears no ill feelings towards his dad. He prides his father for being a dependable person and a good provider. Flunking the NCLEX twice pulled him down to the point of depression. He yearns for his big break, and made a huge step towards it by flying in from San Diego, California just for an audition in his homeland.

Jason became infamous in their province for being a frequent face in street brawls. This young dude will never turn his back on any fight. Jason knows to find ways so he can get want he wants.

Steve or Papa Tibs’ life story would definitely rival those teleserye tearjerkers. He is one of five children, coming from four different fathers and sharing one mother. The death of one of his mom’s partners let them with enough finances to live comfortably and have a good education. However, she became involved with another man who brought trouble into their family. This pushed them into leaving their hometown and seeking refuge in urban Manila, in an attempt to restore order into their lives. This seems to have worked with Steve, as he now has his own family, happily married and proud father of three.
