A local blog advertising network is Blogbank. Like Google Adsense, they get advertisers, take a cut on the advertising fee, then share the rest to blog publishers who agree to show the ads.
Blogbank’s ads are similar to Adsense’s 200×200 Small Square ads and, on the PMT Blog, they are located on the right sidebar under the section Sponsored Links.

My friend, a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) freak who owns at least eight (8) different blogs, and I were discussing yesterday about blogging and how to make money from blogs.
I told him about the article I wrote on 7 easy-to-make blogs that can make you money but he said although these are indeed easy to make, these blogs are not necessarily lucrative.
According to him, if one’s goal is to make lots of money by blogging, one should target high-paying keywords. This got me to researching what these top-paying keywords are.

It’s time once again to bring you the quarterly report on the performance of Philippine blogs. Our latest update was in April 2009 where we gave you the list of the Philippines’ Top Blogs of 2008.
The list for this quarter is quite interesting because a variety of new blogs are entering the Top 50. Nine out of the Top 50 blogs are new, meaning they were either established during the quarter or were previously unknown but are starting to be popular.

Joining ABS-CBN’s booboo on the death of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, err… former President Cory Aquino, the Manila Bulletin also had a similar mistake in its supplement issue released yesterday, August 6.

One lesson we should learn from Cory

In the last several days, the media has constantly harped on the notion that the death of former Pres. Corazon “Cory” Aquino is something that unified the country.
Wrote the Philippine Daily Inquirer in its editorial on August 2:
Unity is a rare thing in our country; we have it now; and adding to the feelings of grief is the wistful realization that it took the passing of Cory to reunite a divided nation.
If there is one lesson we can learn from Cory Aquino, it is that this country needs to be united once more.
