Bernard Madoff guilty, gets 150-year prison term

Just less than an hour ago, a US federal judge gave the 71-year-old former NASDAQ chair Bernard Madoff the maximum sentence of 150 years in prison for an “extraordinary evil” fraud that demolished the life savings of individuals and investments of charities and pension funds.
In the court decision, District Judge Denny Chin described the unprecedented nature of the multibillion-dollar fraud as “extraordinarily evil and that this kind of irresponsible manipulation of the system is not merely a bloodless financial crime that takes place just on paper, but it is instead … one that takes a staggering human toll.”

You entrusted your money to a person you believed was trustworthy but, in the end, you were deceived and now that person is gone.
You have been scammed.
If you know where they are, you can report scammers to the authorities in the Philippines.
But if they cannot anymore be found, you can resort to creative means of finding them. Just like having a paid advertisement on newspapers.

If you haven’t noticed it yet, the font sizes of Google Adsense ads have now gotten bigger. That’s because the default font size of the ads is now “medium.”
Starting last week, publishers were given the option to change the font sizes from small to medium or large. A sample of how each size looks like is shown below.

There are currently many talks about big earthquakes in the Philippines, especially after a 7.0 quake hit Haiti and killed hundreds of thousands of people.
A primary concern to most is the Philippine Fault Zone or the Marikina Valley Fault Line, which supposedly traverses through major parts of Metro Manila, including Marikina, Quezon City, Pasig and Taguig.

The United Nations is advising the Philippines to be ready for an upcoming big earthquake. A quake with a magnitude of 7 or higher on the Richter scale is sure to hit Metro Manila, they say, but the bigger question is when exactly this will happen.
The Earthquakes and Megacities Initiative (EMI) report published in 2004 predicts that an earthquake with a high magnitude will surely occur because of the Philippine Fault Zone (also called the Marikina Valley Fault System), but experts cannot predict when this may happen.

Just like thousands of Wordpress (WP) users who saw on June 11 that a new version — Wordpress 2.8 — is already available, I clicked on the auto-upgrade link as soon as I saw it inside my blog’s Admin panel.
Wrong move! It crashed this blog and the site won’t load anymore!
