(August 2008) Physician Licensure Exam results

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 1,513 out of 2,506 passed the Physician Licensure Examination of the Philippines given by the Board of Medicine in August 2008. This translates to a passing rate of 60.4%.
The top performing schools and top 10 passers are the following. Below is the complete list of new doctors.
A. WITH 100 AND MORE EXAMINEES
1. UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES - MANILA : 144 passed out of 147 –> 98.0%
2. UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS : 245 passed out of 259 –> 95.0%
3. PAMANTASAN NG LUNGSOD NG MAYNILA : 93 passed out of 104 –> 89.0%
B. WITH 50 TO 99 EXAMINEES
1. CEBU INSTITUTE OF MEDICINE : 56 passed out of 56 –> 100.0%
2. WEST VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY - LA PAZ : 71 passed out of 82 –> 87.0%
