August 11, 2008
Warrick’s dead, Grissom is leaving CSI, and the Miniature Killer’s back.
The 9th season of the hit TV show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is definitely bound to be exciting.
What to expect in the new season of CSI:
- William Petersen (Gil Grissom) is leaving halfway through the show, around early next year
- Laurence Fishburne (of The Matrix trilogy) is confirmed to replace him as the crime lab’s chief, playing a doctor who has the same genetic profile as a serial killer
- Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) will return as a guest star in a few episodes
- The Miniature Killer from Season 7 will make a brief comeback
- Grissom and Lady Heather will share a night together
Spoilers for the first episode of Season 9, entitled “For Warrick”:
Nick Stokes (George Eads) finds Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan) slumped over the wheel of his car after he hears the shots. Greg (Eric Szmanda) cancels his meeting with his book publishers after hearing the news. A devastated Gil Grissom phones Sara Sidle when he finds out. As the team grieves, Warrick’s killer, Undersherrif McKeen is investigating the murder. Conrad Ecklie hires a new, young CSI, Bryce Adams. Sara takes the first flight from San Francisco but as she arrives in Vegas, she cannot get into the crime lab as she is no longer a police officer. Grissom tries to get her a job as a lab technician with little success.

What I don’t get is that Grissom is the one holding him. Wasn’t it Nick that was supposed to find him? Having Grissom there, to me, doesn’t really make since. He left, the only one to still be around Warrick when the shots occured would be Nick. Nick would hear it and would try to find out what happened. Unless Grissom would’ve came back, I don’t know, he’s forgot to tell Warrick something and It couldn’t wait and he just happens to run across a dying Warrick and pulls him out of the car and cradles his head like in the picture. I don’t see how he’d be the one there, maybe if Nick called him after he found him, instead of calling the police first. It’s frustrating, but maybe they’re just pictures to throw a person off, and beg for answers. Damn CBS and their tactics.
This is amazingly confusing, I can’t wait until October. Yay! Sara’s coming Back, old news, but it makes me happy, no doubt.

Remember in the last episode, Nick flirts with the waitress. He probably stayed back and flirted with her.

This was a great trailer. What song do they use in the video to make it sounds so sad?
