50% increase in Google Adsense earnings

Back in March, I asked whether your Google Adsense income is decreasing. At that time, my earnings dropped by as much as 30% compared to the best earning month. I pointed out several factors that could have caused the drop but, until now, I have not really identified what really caused it.
The good news, though, is that last month saw one of the best highs of my Google Adsense income. From April to May, earnings increased by 50% although traffic and site visitors increased by only 15%. I have not seen this income figure since Google slapped our blog with a PageRank penalty back in October 2007.
What caused this? Honestly, I don’t know. But like before, here are some guesses.
More ad spending
Advertisers are probably spending more during this time. Historically, advertisers spend less at the end of the year and at the beginning of the new year. But ad spending eventually picks up as summer approaches. If advertisers did spend more on advertising, then this blog benefited from it.
More visitors from US, Canada, etc.
Analysis of our traffic log shows that more and more people from developed countries visited our blog in the past month. Site publishers know that ads shown to these people have higher ad rates compared to someone from, say, the Philippines or other developing countries. If this is the case, our many visitors from the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, etc. did help increase our Adsense earnings last month.

I think it depends on the subject of your site. E.g. a site of gift artical get good visitors near valentine day or Christmas.

hi james, yup, i noticed that too. for the month of april and may it’s almost 3k (my record breaking earnings), but for this month of june it’s on a decline though not that significant.
