Gmail just keeps getting better and better
June 8, 2008
I logged in to my Gmail account earlier and saw a link to the new features they are offering. I clicked on the link and got treated to a list of new stuff.
Take a look at what the new Gmail has to offer. Without a doubt, Gmail just keeps getting better and better.
1. Colored Labels

Emails can now be organized with new colored labels. Just click the color swatch next to each label to assign a color. Now, you can label emails from your friends as, say, Blue while marking emails from your enemies Red.
2. Group Chat
You can now chat with multiple people without multiple windows. You can even invite all your friends to a group discussion.
3. View Powerpoint files as slideshow
Very useful feature for those who want to preview Powerpoint files without downloading anything. Just click “View as slideshow” next to the .ppt attachment you want to preview.
4. Increased attachment limit
Before, Gmail’s attachment limit is 10MB but they’ve now doubled it to 20MB! It is now possible to send very large files that won’t previously fit in your email.
Some more good Gmail features:
- New emoticons
- Integration with AOL Instant Messenger (AIM)
- Free IMAP
- Free POP access
- Auto-update of conversation if a new email arrives
Don’t you just love Gmail?

every now and then, my chat box turns offline or whenever i send messages, i get an error message that it’s not sent but it’s still in my sent folder. i have already tried putting https in the url. what could be the problem? and i thought it was because of their beta version.
