Blog Guide 4: Set up your Wordpress.com blog

This post assumes that after reading Blog Guide 3: Free hosted blog or own domain? you decided to go for a free blog to be hosted by Wordpress.com.
Here are the 3 easy steps to get you started on your own Wordpress.com blog.
1. Go to Wordpress.com and sign up for a free account. Enter your preferred blog domain and blog title to finish the sign-up process.
2. Log in to your email account and click the verification link sent by Wordpress.com.
3. Now log in to Wordpress.com and start blogging!
Yup, setting up your Wordpress.com blog is as easy as 1-2-3! But read on if you want to make a few tweaks and changes before you start with that first blog post.
To do any of the following, you need to be logged in to your Wordpress.com account and must be in the Admin Control Panel page.
Changing or updating blog options
a. To change your blog title, tagline, and format of the date and time, go to Options > General.
b. To change the size of the post box, posting formatting, and default categories of blog posts and links, go to Options > Writing.
c. To change the front page display, number of posts in blog pages, and feeds options, go to Options > Reading.
d. To change options regarding trackbacks and comment moderation, go to Options > Discussion.
Changing the blog theme or layout
a. To use a new theme for your blog, go to Presentation > Themes and pick from the available themes the one you’d like to use.
b. To add and/or rearrange plugins or widgets in your sidebar, go to Presentation > Widgets.
c. To change the image in your header or use a different color for the header text, go to Presentation > Custom Image Header.
Adding links to the sidebar
a. To add a new link to your Blogroll, go to Blogroll > Add Link and input the Name and URL Address (Description is optional).
b. To delete a link in the blogroll or rearrange the sequence of links, go to Blogroll > Manage Blogroll.
c. To create a new category for links or to edit an existing link category, go to Blogroll > Categories.

I’m searching for way on how to make money online and i found out that blogging is another way to it, and i found your blog guide kinda helpful for me as i’m just starting to build my own blog. Please give me some tips on about how can i make money online, what site offers extra income on blogger or give me a list of the websites that are offering bloggers to earn money. Thank You!

Fantastic resources for the newbies that wish to create a blog. I’m sure if you can provide video tutorial on how to create a blog from scratch will be nicer.:)
