New Adsense ad format spotted again
It was just a few days ago when we spotted a new format for ad units that Google Adsense was testing. It included a new feature called the ad scroller or ad slider that lets site users navigate through the ads using the Up, Down, Left, or Right arrows (screenshot in the link above).
A few minutes ago, we spotted again here on our site a new ad format that Adsense might be testing. This latest format includes four (4) units of Button ads (125 x 125) — two (2) units placed side by side and two (2) more below it.

The new format is a welcome deviation from the traditional ad formats that Adsense has long been using. But the question is, can it increase the click-through-rate (CTR) of the ads?

Oks lang sa akin yan basta nagpapataas ng CTR :) Pero yun nga, sa ngayon, nde pa natin alam kung ano ang impact nyan sa CTR kasi nde pa yun official ad unit.

I’ve noticed this new format too. I really think it’s nice for advertisers that google is constantly tweaking their system and making improvements.

Hi Prince John. The new format is currently just being tested by Adsense. It’s not an official ad unit yet which means it only appears at random. Only Google, for now, can control when it will appear. That said, I don’t know yet whether the new ad format can actually increase the CTR. Let’s wait until the new format becomes an official Adsense unit.

Looks good, but your current ad is not in that format.
Did you experience any change in CTR around the time you spotted this new format? Honestly, I don’t believe this can increase clicks, but certainly looks nice.
