FrancSwiss promoter murdered?

November 8, 2007

In the discussion thread This is sad… maybe FrancSwiss-related, PMT member pinoynetworker posted that currently making the rounds in the local networking scene is the news that a certain Christopher or Cris Irabon has been identified as one of the victims in a salvage incident early this week.

Irabon is said to be a “power leader” in the Philippine networking scene who allegedly actively promoted the FrancSwiss investment program that eventually turned into a scam.

Local daily People’s Journal has the official news on the killings.

THE four salvage victims stuffed in a sack found atop a bridge in Taytay, Rizal Monday (October 5) have been identified by their relatives, police said yesterday.

The victims were identified as Maricel Sena, 24, five months pregnant, her sister Robilyn, 19, Christopher Irabon, 33, and Rolando Lopez, 35, live-in partner of Maricel.

Estrelita Sena, mother of the siblings, said they last saw the victims alive on October 31.

Police said the victims were tortured before they were killed.

Were the murders motivated by the FrancSwiss scam? That is a question for the police to answer.

In any case, we offer our condolences to the families of the victims.

I know a lot of people in the MLM industry and it seems that almost all the top people in the industry have dipped their hands in one pyramid scam or another. I was never an active networker but joined out of “pakikisama” because many of my friends are networkers.

During the peak of popularity of these scams, I have been invited by my networking friends into shady investments like Euro America index, franc swiss, global america and tons of others. Name it, I probably already know it. I told them to say away from this, not because you will lose money - I’m quite aware that there are people who earn millions but rather by earning your millions you are participating in a immoral and evil act.

Many of them deny it of course because they are earning a lot of money but its pretty obvious that the money they get comes from the money - blood sweat and tears of those below them. Although the boom of these investment scams are now over, I’m still very very sad that there are still people who participate and perpetuate these scams up to this day.

I guess once you get away off easy money, its very hard to look back to Traditional MLM.

For very ambitious people like Mr. Irabon, this should have been a shortcut their goals. Sadly it turned out to be a dead end. What a pity indeed, I also agree with Ferdin, if Chris had lived, he would eventually become very rich. Francswiss robbed him of that. RIP Chris.

    Ferdin the networker Says:

Rest in peace Chris. I was one of this thousands of downlines in Loadxtreme - a MLM company. He was a very supportive, hardworking and ambitious upline. He was probably one of the best salesman I have ever met. Although I have heard bad things about him by his detractors, I personally had a good impression of him.

In fact, he helped me a few times convince my guests to sign up in Loadxtreme. I will never forget his go-getting always positive outlook in life.

The last time I saw him was when he tried to recruit me in Frank Swiss. He actually convinced me that it was a legitimate investment company but Thank God I did not have the cash to invest at the time!!! Later on I saw his name flashed in TV Patrol because of his involvement and worried for the guy.

I guess this scam got the best of him. What a huge pity and waste of a talented guy. My condolence to his family and may God have mercy on his soul.

    RIP

Got something to say?
