i've followed what you said but my card get deactivated!!

    * 1. Once you have applied for PayPal’s Expanded Use Program, log in to your UnionBank internet banking account.

    * 2. Once logged in, access the “Transaction History” of the account you used to enroll in the Expanded Use Program.

    * 3. Scan your history for the transaction that debited your account with the $1.95 Expanded Use Enrollment fee (the Peso charge is normally around P87+).

    * 4. In the corresponding “Transaction Description” column, check if you see a 3- or 4-digit number. In my case, this is 840 from the line VISA-SG(840).

    * 5. Since the EXPUSE number is a 4-digit number, I added “0″ as the last digit. I used 8400, the new 4-digit number (840 + 0 last digit), as my PayPal EXPUSE number and, guess what, it worked!

Why bother? Just drop a bank mail from your EON Online Banking account and in just an hour or two a rep will reply with your expanded use number. It's easy and safe and no worries.

to James:

Yup, it showed the 840 number. I called Unionbank and asked for the EXPUSE number. However, I had to wait for 4 banking days before I got it. But it's easy to get the number. Just call and ask for it! So now my EON acount is verified at Paypal.

My question right now is what did it mean that I have 5 transactions left, when I viewed my debit card acceptance limit?

Hi Prudence, did your UnionBank online account show the 840 number as well, just like mine? If 8400 did not work for you, then I have no idea why it worked for me. But, true, better call up UnionBank to get your EXPUSE number.

When I tried adding 0 to 840 as the EXPUSE, it didn't work. I guess I have to call up Unionbank's number to get mine.

ManilaBoy, your Citibank credit card is different from UnionBank's EON card, which is a debit card. For EON account holders, they can get the EXPUSE number by contacting UnionBank's Customer Support. But for UnionBank's credit card holders (and I think this applies to your CC too), they need to wait for their next month's billing to get the EXPUSE number.

Yes, you can withdraw PayPal funds to your Citibank Visa credit card. Some people have already confirmed that. The funds, however, cannot be withdrawn. They are treated as a cash advance which you can apply to your next month's dues. Dunno, though, whether Citibank Mastercards work with PayPal.

More info on how to withdraw funds from Paypal Philippines here.

charles, that's interesting. I looked at your screenshot and you had the same number as mine in your internet banking account. Dunno if that 8400 EXPUSE number is a bug in UnionBank's system. But fortunately for me, when I tried it, it worked. When I saw that number in my online account, I simply decided to add 0 to make it a 4-digit number because I know EXPUSE numbers have 4 digits. It was merely an experiment that I tried because I am aware that, in the past, PayPal EXPUSE numbers are actually available in UnionBank's online banking facility. Only when the Receive feature was activated did UnionBank decide to give out EXPUSE numbers on the phone.

Good day. You must be lucky to use the EXPUSE # 8400 to verify your Unionbank EON.
But I wonder, why add one zero (0) to make it a 4 digit # as your EXPUSE #? you are luck to verify your EON that fast. As for me I ask my EXPUSE # at their Customer Service Call Center and my EXPUSE # is different from yours.
Please refer to this link and this screenshot.
I may be wrong about this, I guess they change their policy to use what will appear in the transaction details in our EON online account. :) :)
